Default Pilates anyone?

Anyone on the board who does Pilates?

I use to do it sporadically -- and enjoyed it because its very low impact and it just feels good -- about six weeks ago I started doing it every day, switching off which dvd I did (Winsor Pilates) as well as walking about 30 minutes about 3 times a week and I've lost 7 pounds -- even better however, than the weight loss is the inches I've lost on my waist -- and this morning my husband commented that my saddlebags under my butt were dissappearing as well. . . any other day his using the term "saddlebags" to describe something on my body would have caused a fight, however, it was encouraging and it has definitely renewed my faith in pilates.

Wow! I had been wondering about the benefits of it myself, but you've convinced me to give it another go! I've searched long and hard for an exercise DVD that comes with close captions as I'm hard of hearing, and I found one by Denise Austin that is all about pilates. Well, I did it the other day, and it dang near kicked my butt! I couldn't believe how easy she made it looked, and how hard it was for me. But I'll keep on trucking!

Pilates is definitely good if you want to get a lean look. I told my mom about Winsor Pilates and she is hooked. She wanted to tone only and she lost 12 pounds and inches off everywhere. I am thinking about trying Pilates Allegro at my gym.

I've tried Pilates and it's great, but it seems to put a strain on my neck. Anyone has similar problems?
