Default Yet another newbie...
Hi all...

Just wanted to introduce myself

After a couple of years of a steady diet of pizza and beer (plus 2 babies in 3 years), reality has reared its ugly head in the form of me looking in a mirror naked.

My sister is getting married in June, so I thought this would be good motivation, other than I just want my "old" body back. I know what I look like on the inside, just want it to match on the outside.

I just started South Beach again on the 2nd. I joined my local health club and have been faithfully going every day. Knowing myself, I'm going to need support and an occasional kick in the pants around week 4.

I love the recipe section and hope to be adding to it as well as I LOVE cooking!

Welcome to the Beach Rotten. There are some great recipes here and it is so exciting to see so many creative cooks. I'm a good cook but I have a hard time experimenting.

An event like your sister's wedding can really be a good motivator, but don't let it be something that stresses you out, okay? Good, healthy weight loss isn't fast. Just work on getting healthy...even if you aren't at goal by your sister's wedding, you know you'll be feeling amazing by then...and that's going to show!

Ruth - My sister is like a size 2 so she defintley doesn't need to lose any weight

beachgal - The wedding really isn't that stressful for me because it's a small wedding and there's not a whole lot to do - my kids stress me out more

Banana, I asked because a chick called Rotten Apple joined us the same day you did. Quite a coincidence! We can start out own compost heap!
