Default Am I making this too hard?

I'm 33 years old and have two daughters. I am obsessed with food. I was going to do the WW points, but I'm afraid that would set me over the edge with my obsessive tendencies. I'm a strange bird because while I may obsess over food the majority of my diet attempts fail because I don't eat enough.

I just don't want to fail this time.

Hi there. I guess the best I would be able to say is, "be strong". I'm a compulsive eater too, weather I'm hungry or not. The points system in WW helped me a great deal. So, why did I quit? I guess I wasn't dedicated. Anyway, eating 5 small meals a day has helped me too. This way I'm satisfied with getting to eat more times, but I just don't eat to access. Like maybe a handful of grapes for a snack, etc. Good luck to you. I know you can do this. You're here, and your talking about it, that show's you want this to happen.

Thank you for replying. I just have the mentality of having to starve myself to lose weight, but I will shake that.

Oh trust me; I'm right there with you. If you're not starving, then you're doing something wrong. Not true. If you get hungry, then you've waited too long between healthy snacks. Grab about 10 small pretzels, or an apple, just something, oh and #1 don't forget to keep water handy.

Well, there ya go. That's like what about 2/3 the battle? Nah, just kidding; water is what we're made of so I guess we need to consume alot of it. I keep a bottle on my desk through the day while I'm working.

I have a one quart tupperware container with a spout that I plan on taking to school with me. I can fill it up for free! I'm all about the free stuff.

I also plan on taking some green tea with me. We have a coffee pot in the book store where I work on campus, but we only use it to heat water. The majority of the people that I work with our very health conscious so that helps.

I actually like it. You might have to add some splenda, but I think it's great without any sweetener.

Lipton makes Earl Grey green tea, it's kind of a hybrid between green tea and "regular" tea. I love it.

Welcome, ladies!

You've got the right attitude about the water... drink up!

fawnice, you're so right about being hungry. Waiting too long before eating is a sure-fire way to fail.
