Hi Renee--
Check out Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds tapes (usually abbreviated WATP in case you see that). Her tapes add a bit more than straight marching in place, but she considers it walking and the tapes all come with a mileage amount (1, 2, and 4 miles are most common I think). I haven't spent enough time on the exercise boards to see what the buzz is lately, but I know when I was doing WW several years ago EVERYBODY raved about the tapes (and I have several of them so I like them too). I think one of the reasons Leslie is so popular is that she doesn't use complicated dance moves so you can get a lot from her tapes right from the get-go without having to learn a big routine
15-20 minutes would count for amount a mile, although I would be skeptical about plain marching in place taking less than 20 minutes to equal a mile. Because Leslie throws in a bit of upper body work (which helps raise the heart rate as well as tone your arms, shoulders), I think her 1 mile tape is 15 minutes (I THINK....but then there's some warm-up and a bit of stretching). Hey....anything that gets you moving, right?
