Default Chin Question

Hi everyone,

How in the world do you lose those double chins? I need to know if there is any exercise or am I just asking a dumb question.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Wow, Sheila, you look great! I lost mine when I lost weight, too, but I didn't lose all the skin, and had a lot more wrinkles. (Now, of course, I've gained weight back and filled out the skin again. Less wrinkles, but I'd rather have them than the chins! )

I've never had the double chin, but it's soft down there. People told me at the WeightWatchers board that you can't lose weight in particular spots, it will come off over time in whatever place it decides to, and that sometimes the most troublesome parts will come off last. The FIRM workout website said that the first fat to gain is sometimes the last to leave. Not sure if that's true or not.

Sheila -- NICE pic!! So nice to put a face to the name too...

Yep, I agree the chins go away with the fat loss in a gradual and sloooowww process....depending on the person of course...I'd much rather wrinkles than doublel chins too

As with what everyone else said, it shrinks as the weight loss goes on. You're entire face will get thinner. I had a round face, and now it's more of an oval. The double chin I had--which, believe me, was quite the large one--has shrunk and I can now see a jawline. If you're very worried about it, you can exercise it. You have to tighten it. It helps to work those muscles if you use the back of your hand to push on them when you tighten. It will help you target that specific muscle.
