Question ?? about changing diet style to break plateau??

Hi there. I have a question. I have been doing calorie counting, and have hit a terrible plateau for me. When I stop seeing the scale move weekly, I get un-motivated. It hasnt moved for 2 weeks!!!! I was wondering I was to switch to say SBD, or WW (points) for a couple weeks, do you all think this would help get my body back in motion? I always read about "changing" your eating for plateau's so I was wondering if doing a complete "diet plan" switch would maybe work?...Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

*also, I do not want to switch full time, as I like calorie counting, I do not really want to up/down my calories, but I do need to get off this stall. I only want to change plans for like 2 weeks or so....*

Well, Weight Watchers is essentially counting calories without calling it that (I know, the POINTS formula is more complicated, but it all boils down to calories in the end). So if you want to switch it up, I'd suggest doing a couple of weeks of South Beach Phase One. That will force you to be ruthless in cutting out anything borderline in what you might be eating now, and you might find that it reforms your diet in a way. If you get inspired to work some of the ideas into your calorie counting, then so much the better--whole grains and lean protein never hurt a soul.

Thanks, that is what I have been thinking. I am going to do some more research on phase 1 SBD today and decide. If nothing happens by Sunday, then Monday morning I may just begin phase 1 and see what happens. Thanks again GBMM.

Be sure to check the SBD forum here. Lots of good recipes.
