Unhappy Please help!!

Hello all

I am obviously new to this board. I am 5'6" 17yrs young, and between 185 - 190. I am desparately wanting to get this weight off by Christmas. Before I got pregnant, I was at 135 .. I gained 60 some lbs during that time .. lost it when I came home and gained it all back shortly I would love to get some great advice!! .. also, please be HONEST, how much weight do you think i could lose by fasting for 2 weeks?

Thanks --
Kara

You will make your body go into starvation mode! Which is NOT healthy at all! And it does not really help for weight loss at all. You need a healthy diet.... Weight Watchers, Jorge Cruise The 3 Hour Diet, something like that. You need something slow and healthy so you will be able to maintain and keep it off.

Definitely don't fast, been there done that- It screws up your metabolism, and of course makes you feel like crap. Plus you always gain it all back. Just cut back, say eat 1200-1800 calories a day and the weight should fall off. And of course try to work in some exercise, maybe 3-5 times a week. Don't worry, you can lose this weight, you just have to do it the healthy way if you want to keep it off or feel like a human!

I completely understand!!! If you want to do WW you can get info. and support on this site for that instead of paying for the meetings or online pages. And for the 3 Hour Diet... that is just a book... and it has TONS of great information in it! It is an excellent resource to guide you through successful weight loss. I am reading it now, and starting to follow the program myself. I can honestly say I feel better then I use to!

It will cost you more than you know in the long run. Fasting for that length of time is dangerous. You could wind up in the hospital and I don't think you want to go that route.

You can lose weight on your own. Try starting off with 1600 calories of healthy veggies, fruits, grains and proteins and combine it w/exercise.

Remember a quick fix will only make you fatter and unhealthier, they truly don't work. I am living proof that it will only backfire.

Teach yourself now good habbits and heatlhy eating and you'll never regret it, neither will your baby Also, remember that kids learn from what they see.

(BTW, healthy weight loss is 2 lbs a week).
