Smile Sticking to the Plan Saturday Menus July 30, 2005

I was up early as usual, so I thought I would get us started on the menus for today.

Breakfast - Scrambled eggs, LO steak & hashbrowns (1 pt)
Lunch - Ruby Tuesdays Sirloin steak, sugar snap peas & baked potato w/butter (3pts)
Supper - grilled chicken, Roasted veggies (turnips, carrots, onions, squash, red peppers, onion)
Dessert - "Apple Pie" (cinnamon & splenda tossed sliced apples sauteed in Pam & tossed with puffed rice)

Rita's on the That seems like alot doesn't it! I always try to make sure that I am eating at least 20 pts. I have found that if I try to cut way back all the time that I don't lose. Your body thinks it is starving, so it starts conserving your fat to get you through it. I know that I cannot subsist on a very low-cal diet forever, so I might as well learn to eat within the boundaries of what I need without overindulging. Yall Please make sure you are eating enough to stay healthy!

Rita, I don't think it looks like alot of food. I feel the same was as you do about eating enough. Besides, 18 pounds down is a testimonial to the fact that you are NOT overeating!

Breakfast: Shredded Wheat and Bran cereal (my sale cereal! Ok, I'm done now celebrating my sale cereal) with skim and fresh blueberries and Splenda

Lunch: Going to my favorite restaurant to have a Sirloin burger (FF cheese slice from my purse!), raw red onion, lettuce, tomato, and ketchup on a bun (points) with a side of fresh fruit salad (pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, strawberries). I have to have a good substantial lunch before I go to the birthday/homecoming party

Party: Fresh veggies in FF garlic dill dip, I'm bringing a cup of FF cottage cheese and a Del Monte Fruit Naturals Peach cup mixed in; a Dunkin Donuts Decaf Iced coffee with light cream (points) and 24 ounce bottle of water. I'm going to try not to eat anything else until I get home.

Dinner: Large salad and LO cola chicken

Snack: Maybe popcorn?

rita, that's good advice. i feel "guilty" sometimes because it looks like i'm eating too much to lose. (and sometimes i am) today's full of good choices, though.

b--scrambled egg with ff cheddar/butter flavored pam, 1 slice toast (1/2 pt) and spreadable strawberry preserves
l--cornmeal chicken, core parsleyed potatoes made with butterbuds & ff margarine, chili beans, corn on the cob/icnbinb spray, & ff country gravy (1 pt) (don't you just love core?
s--2 popsicles (1 pt)
s--pineapple cream pudding (4 pts for all the ff cw)
d--bun, turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, bell pepper, ff mayo, olives/pimientos (3 pts)
s--possibly popcorn if needed (during big brother)
