Red face 3rd Week & Feelin' Unsuccessful

Hi to all fellow WW members! I'm in my 3rd week and have lost 7.4 lbs. I lost 7.6 in my first week, but gained 0.2 my second week. I was a little discouraged, but I'm hoping that I get on the right track again. I'm doing this on my own so I thought that I would join this forum for support from peoplel who are trying to accomplish the same thing as me. If there's any advice that people can give me, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

pookiepie- don't get down on yourself. Your body is probably still adjusting from the changes you are making. Try going over your journals to see how you were eating those first couple of weeks. See what worked and what you may be able to improve on. Check to see that you are drinking enough water and maybe increasing your exercise a bit will help.

Pookiepie ( cute name)
Hang in there..........you are fine! WWers is designed for 1-2 pounds weight loss per week. The way I look at it you are already ahead of the game...and hey...the 7 #s stayed off didnt it? Hang in there...............you will lose again the 3rd time! Be patient.............you are making many changes your body is adjusting to. I assure you the plan will work.just keep doing it no matter what the scale says!

My philosophy is anything in the right direction is good. I know it's hard to be patient--and I've had to be, because I only lose about 1 pound a week--but I think it's really important to get into the mindset that this is a permanent change of lifestyle, not a quickie diet that you have to get through as fast as possible. Those don't work, remember? Hang in there, you're doing great.

I'll ditto everyone else's thought and add gaining .2 is usually only a water retention problem...was it TOM? Did you have more sodium laden foods? Was the weather unusally humid? Did you start or change your exercise routine? all these are factors for water retention.

Hi Pookiepie,

I'm new to WW too and have only been to 1 meeting. I've been on a weight loss plateau for a month now and I'm hoping WW will help. I'm only looking to lose 1 lb a week (or less if that's what my body will allow) so I know the journey will be frustrating. I'm here for support if you need it. Everyone has given you great advice so far...and yes, don't skip on the WATER! Drink up!

Kelly S, what does TOM mean? There are so many acronyms used on 3FC that I don't know! Someone should make a dictionary for me. hhahahah JK

Purplebanana- TOM is That Time of the Month,
Pookypie, that is really good considering I have been on it going to my third week. I lost one pound the first week then TOM and I will weight in next week. But that is really good, so don't give up !
Good Luck
Stacey

Hang in there ... I've been trying to lose....not necessarily following WW...but having done that so much before...I think my mind set sees pts when it looks at food automatically...started the beginning of May and have been on it a month...lost 9 lbs...sounds wonderful...but now I know I will have to be patient...that was alot and fast...so I'm sure I will slump at this point...we all need help, encouragement and a good pep talk every now and then...so let's hang in there all together!!!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL
