Again, I don't want to put a scale number on my goals. That always seems to trip me up. I want to be able to wear the cool blue sweater I bought myself two months ago and that is hanging on my exercise bike as motivation. I want to continue working hard, eating clean and being positive about my health, my life, my goals, my job, etc.

Yep! That is why I put up a non-scale goal in case anyone did not want to go by numbers

Great goals tiki!

I'm going to go with a non-scale goal this month, since my stress will be really high for the next couple of weeks (finals) and I've been really slipping lately. So my goals this month are to journal everything and keep my kitchen clean so I'll eat better. I've also been doing a pantry challenge (buying the least groceries possible and using up my pantry staples) which means eating more beans and whole grains, so I want to keep that up.

Heyla, I feel ready to try this again!

Current weight (urp!) 234

Goal: 4 pounds

Non-weight goal: exercise 5 times per week for at least 15 minutes

It's good to be back! I've re-instituted the "jar of success," but this time instead of putting $5 a week into it when I succeed, I'm trying putting a shiny Sacagewea dollar in the jar every day that I'm on track. I'm terrible with delayed gratification - part of the problem that got me into this mess!

Woo hoo! SolarMama

I just bought myself a ceramic bank that is shaped like a high heel leopard print shoe - it says "saving for shoes" on it. This will be my $ reward bank and when I am done I am at goal I am going to buy a fabulous pair of shoes/boots with it!

Hi
Just checking in! Yes, It is me again! I know, you are used to me dropping in and out again. I am going to really try and commit to at least 5 pound loss this month. I have been doing nothing inthe way of exercise, so I am comiiting myself to walking or some form of exercise at least three times a week.

Oh mauvaisroux, I'm totally stealing your idea! I'm very boot obsessed since I carry so much weight in my legs. (I'm now a size 12 or 14 in pants, but my calves are still 18.5") I've promised myself a pair of fluevog boots when my calves are slim enough to fit in them. It would probably help though, if I actually saved the money for them!!

Tani,

Even at my heaviest, my calves were only 13 inches. I have such skinny legs that I had to give away a pair of thigh high boots cause I didn't have enough leg to hold them up. When I am heavy, I look like Humpty Dumpty!

Tiki.

tiki- you should try the ones that are stretch PVC- they hug your calves like a glove - good for slim legs as well as heavier ones.
