Default Anyone else on CORE "from home" ?

and by "from home", I mean no meetings, no online membership?

Im basically doing it "on my own", and with the HUGE help of great websites like this one! Ive been printing out recipes, info, etc and Im putting it in a little folder. Im weighing myself weekly (has only been 10days so far) lost 7lbs in the 1st week!

So far, Im REALLLLY motivated, and Im sure if I stay on this site, I'll keep the motivation and "rah rah" feeling going that you get at meetings
I figured the $12/week I can spend on new rollerblades or something that would be part of my losing weight! I cant sit still and asking me to sit in a meeting for an hour, once a week, is kinda outrageous

Edited to say: I do have a points counter, and I am aware of the extra points allowed, so Im trying to stay on top of that too...

Anyone else doing this on their own with great success ??

Thanks everyone!
(Ive posted my newbie info on the newbie thread )

Happy Losin to all !

Default Me too!

I am doing the WW Core Plan on my own. I am using that $12 to go towards my gym membership. I just started and I don't have much to lose but felt like this was a good plan for life (new eating lifestyle). You know. Good luck to you and great job on your first week weight loss. That's awesome!

Hey there! I am also doing Core from home. I started out several months ago with an online ww subscription for my bday. I was doing flex and not doing very well. So I finally decided just to buy the books, etc. instead of paying almost $20 a month for the online subscription. I do miss the ease of looking points, etc. up online, but with Core its not really a necessity. I just started one week ago today and have lost 3 pounds despite a weekend of REALLY bad eating. I'm hoping to do better this week.
This website has been the biggest help. Actually, I think I've used it more than I used the "real" ww website when I belonged.

I'm strictly a go to meetings regular WW girl! I'd like to save the $11 bucks a week since I'm retired but I find that I "need" to go to meetings and get on their scale for accountability. However, this board, and these women are my real group members. I'm with my meeting folks for only a 1/2 hour (did you know meetings were only 30 minutes long?). My friends here give me more support than I could ever hope to get from my meeting people.

I'm on my own with this site, DWLZ and Kippy's Hard Core-ner. I have been doing WW for about a year and most of that time Flex, but the last little while Core. I have lost 51 lbs so far. It is slowing down a lot, but I feel good.

Oh, I look fabulous too.

Kally, it's really nice to hear that you are feeling good about yourself! We all struggle with bad body images for so long.

Kally, you GO, girl!!! I like the way you think!!

I do it on my own too. I did WW@Home for a long time, then our company started the meetings at work. I did it until my elementary school mentoring day changed and now mentoring is on the same day as the meetings, so I chose the mentoring. I knew what to do anyway, and figured I would have to police myself for the rest of my life so I'd better get used to some self-discipline!

Thanks gals. Approaching 50 and I reallyl want to look the best I can. Everything is easier with less weight, but the cooking and prepping is much more work. Thankfully I enjoy it and find it very creative.
