I had a GREAT day -- went to Hancock's Fabrics and bought a little flower arrangement and two ceramic chickens to put on the front entry table. I also got some fabric and just now made a runner for the dresser that's going in the guest room whenever the new furniture gets here. It looks great!

My big DD just said she wanted a Dr. Pepper, so I went around the block to CVS to get her one, and they had jelly beans for 10 cents a bag, so I got six of them. I'll open them up and put in a jar -- straight into the cabinet -- so we'll have them all summer probably! We have several parties planned in the next few months and that'll be a good little snack to have sitting around.

Now I'm watching the Rangers and Mariners, while waiting to cook dinner. Potatoes are baking in the oven, vegetables are ready to be steamed, DH is on alert for the grill ... and I don't have to go to work tomorrow! It STILL feels like I'm on vacation! I envy your retirement, Vickie!

Uh, what did I do today? I got everyone up and fed, cleaned out the gerbil's cage, got everyone dressed and fed for church, went to church, and then came home. Then I tried to rest (grrr - it wasn't successful) while the kids played outside. I made dinner, fed everyone, then practiced guitar. Then I took my guitar and a song I wrote over to my parents' house, and played guitar with my dad for a while. It was fun! I just now put the kiddos to bed, and am planning on going to bed early. Boy, sounds like a boring day, huh? It's been nice and warm here (about 80 degrees!) so we've been enjoying the outside a lot.

I'm glad you're enjoying your days off Kathy! You deserve them, and a bunch more.
