Good morning! Starting us up after a terrible sleep last night - not one but TWO nightmares! It must have been the chili we had for dinner!

Bamie, I hope you are feeling OK this morning. Get that appointment with the specialist or we'll peck you to death with our nagging!

BAck in a minute - HArry needs me.

Back and he's gone back to sleep - just needed a glass of water. Hmm - I gave him water last night. I wonder where the glass went.

I need to take some more recycle stuff out to the road this morning AFTER being sure not to get locked out again. Eventually I’ll get the bottles and cans and plastics out of the basement. I just can’t lug the whole works up the stairs at once so am doing it on the instalment plan. Jane doesn’t come until noon today which means I will be getting Harry’s lunch after tackling Mount Laundry in the morning. I plan to go to town and hit Wally World for some odds and ends. I haven’t been to town for two weeks now – hope I can handle it! I need to stock up on more fruit and veggies because the “cupboard” is getting a bit bare. Some days I feel like The Jolly Green Giant with all the veggies around here.

So what's happening around your beach towel?

Morning Ruth and the rest of you chicks to peck in this morning.

Ruth- sorry to hear you had 2 nightmares and a terrible sleep. Maybe somewhere between recycling, Wallys world and looking for the missing glass you can catch a nap My you are a busy woman. Hope you have a great day.

Me- not to much just hanging around and do a little housework, maybe I will work on my taxes, maybe I won't have not decided.

Well I must run and need to take Howie out so hopefully today he might get the fact that we put him out to go potty, not play.

Morning Ruth and L.C.
Ruth, don't eat chili too soon before going to bed, it always come back one way or the other on me! Hope you can catch a nap today to make up for it! Yesterday was our trash day but they never came so it had to sit out all night. Thank goodness the strong winds haven't knocked anything over. It was hard enough finding a place to set the trash with all the snow. We ended up with about 7-8", although the weatherman had us thinking we were going to have about 12", so I guess you could say we were lucky. We got another 1/2" overnight last night.

L.C., how are you making out with your new puppy, is he keeping you busy? I wanted to ask you about your belly-piercing, too. Do have any problem with the earring catching on your clothes or waistband? I always wondered about that. Don't "tax" yourself doing the taxes, LOL! I'm glad you're joining Curves, I think you'll really enjoy it, I do. It has made a big difference in the way my body looks.

Bamie, hope you will be joining us soon and letting us know how you're doing today.

I'm going to go grab another cup of tea and start warming up my car before I go for my workout at Curves. See you all in a bit.

Good morning, gals!

Ruth, so sorry about your rotten sleep.
Have fun "in town" today.

Little Chick... taxes. ugh! We've got an accountant this year, and I swear it was as much work gathering up all the receipts/information for him as it is to actually do the taxes myself.

Bamie, I'm so glad you went to ER last night, and that you're getting to the bottom of this. I was so worried about you last night! We all were!
Please keep us posted. Well, I know you will... I'm just saying that to be polite.
Hugs and prayers for you, sweetie...

Another day alone, and I'm out of paint, darn it. I'm anxious to start getting things back onto the big old cabinet that I'm painting. Bamie, you were right... I should have primed it first. It's going to take about six coats to cover it.
I have a cool mobile that I'm going to hang in the kitchen (over the computer area), but I'm afraid to put a hole in the now-perfect ceiling.
I'm almost out of coffee, so I'm going to be nasty and wait until DH has left before I make some.

Little Chick, re potty training: Take Howie out, give him the "command" (I use "Find your spot"), repeat as needed, when he goes give him a treat, praise him with a YES, Good boy!" right away and then bring him indoors to have a little play. YES administered within ten seconds or less of good behaviour is the very best reinforcement you can give. Just call me Barbara Woodhouse!

Ellis, you really are mean to that perfect man of yours. Make some more coffee! Do you suppose putting on a prime coat now would help with the next paint layer? I have some white paint that is special for priming anything. Damned if I can remember the name. Too bad we aren't closer, I'd lend you a cup.

Cottage, I really should put it out the night before for pickup. You are right about the chili. Usually I get heartburn but this time it was two horrible dreams. I think I prefer heartburn although not the kind Bamie got!

I'm dressed and on my way out the door with the recycle stuff and then down to get the paper. It's really cold (5F) but the sun is shining. That makes all the difference in the world AND the frassing woodstove caught without a problem this morning. Life is good!

Good Morning All

Ruth ~ The name of the primer we use in these parts is "Kilz". And it will kill you with the smell - but it works really well.

L.C. ~ Ruth is right. Take him out and when he does his business outdoors, praise him and give him treats. He'll get the message. I remember potty training (with Rayney and Buster) had to give the kid treats too to get her to use the real potty. But it worked!! The only problem is now she thinks she should ALWAYS get a surprise when she goes Spoiled rotten - both of them.

Cottage ~ Stay warm hon.

Ellis ~ I don't like to put holes in my walls or ceilings either - we have plaster. The whole house is plaster wall and ceiling. So I buy those adhesive hooks and use those. Just an idea for ya

Bamie ~ Fill me in - I haven't checked the posts from last night yet.

Me ~ I got into an argument with DH this morning. Cried all the way to work. Oh well, the JOYS of marriage. And to top it all off, the damned scale hasn't moved a pound in weeks.

Well, better go. Work to do. Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning Ladies~

Still sick here, UGH! And a visit from Aunt Flo, Double UGH! Didn't even step on the scale this morning. LOL

Not much planned for me today. Baby is feeling worse today than he had been as well. I think we had too much outside time yesterday. It was sooo beautiful out, I coudl'nt resist a walk. Guess i had better think twice next time, if we're both sick that is. *Sigh*

Bamie~Glad you're feeling better.

Ruth, Cottage, LC, Ellis~Good Morning!!

To those yet to come~HI!

Have a Great Day Ladies!

Hey chicks I am here again.... I really have nothing better to do, or I should say I really don't want to do anything. It is one of those days. I forgot to tell you chicks about dd who sang at her middle school last night they had an idol for winter carnval week. She did really great. I was impressed that she did it she is not one to take to the stage.

cottage - you are a funny chick, don't tax myself. As for my bellybutton, yesterday was the first day I wore jeans for a week, I have been wearing lose clothes and hip hugger type workout pants. I have been lucky that it has not pulled on anything. It is not sore anymore but still a little red, I soak it twice a day with salt water and put ky jelly on it. Talking about Curves I have to call today and make an appointment for next week the special starts Monday. I don't think I will be joining til the end of the week though because I have to much to do all week and need to wait til payday.

Ellis- Morning chick, you sound like me I put my recipts everywhere then curse myself when I have to organize them. Which is amazing as I try to keep everything else in order. Maybe I should hire an assistant. Have fun painting that is something I am not allowed to do, dh is a painter by trade although he does not do it anymore so I am not allowed to pick up a paint brush as I don't do it right. Enjoy your coffee

Ruth Thanks for the tips the little guy does not like to be cold, we have been trying the treat thing but I will have to try the command thing and see if that works.

Well I am off again my last wee one should be here soon. I will pop in again later as I have offically decided to not do anything today.

Oh... Kelly... Sending you big hug, sweetie. I know that situation well with arguing with DH and crying afterwards. It's like your whole world has ended.
Remember that it will pass, hon. Thinking of you...

Whew - Bami - I'm glad (and sad) about your diagnosis. Ulcers are better than heart attacks. Make sure you follow up with the specialist. My father has the esophigial (I know that I didn't spell that right) scarring from acid reflux. Prilosec or one of those meds has made his life much better. You also can get a very low hemoglobin if one of the ulcers starts to bleed which would make you very tired. Keep us posted. DS was good to sit with you. He deserves some kudos. Nobody likes to sit in the ER waiting.

That reminds me - did anyone watch Barbara Walters before the Emmy's with Will Farrell? Where she asked if he could have a "magic power" what would it be? He responded to "throw up on command" without any negative side effects. That would come in real handy if you were stuck in the ER waiting. Could you imagine.

Raneysmom - Hang in there with DH. Brush it off and have a very OP day!

little chick - The X and I did our personal taxes and now I'm gearing up for the business taxes. I've been taxed for over a week. I have to pay so mine will be mailed April 15 at 11:59 pm.

Amblyn - Actually getting outside is good for kids even tiny ones. Depending on where you live - forced air furnaces reak havack on baby's lungs. Getting fresh air is good for them even if it is a little cold air.

Ruth - I did that command thing with Major and it worked great. I love your command better than mine. I just said "go potty". As he got older he would look at me like - yeah, yeah, keep your shorts on lady.

Ellis - you crack me up!

Cottage - Have fun at Curves.

Today is the day I'm not supposed to be at work until noon but taxes and graduating students have me here early. Day 4 of Phase I re-do. I should weigh in soon. It was 1 degree here today when I woke up so I didn't want to strip down and weigh in Maybe tomorrow. DS got out of the house on time today. Yeah!

Have a great day chickies
