Sorry if this question has been asked before - but I was wondering if any of you have had any experiences with the different pedometers out there.
I don't need one with bells and whistles - just one that is ACCURATE in counting daily steps and if it has the built in calorie burning thing than great. But really all I want is something inexpensive but ACCURATE.
Consumer Reports recently did an article on Pedometers. The one they recommended was the Omron Digital Premium Pedometer HJ-112. We wrote an article on choosing a pedometer at http://www.3fatchicks.com/fitness/pedometers.php maybe it will help
It's got to be better than the McDonald's pedometer I got with a salad, LOL! I'm so glad to read this thread, for I'd like to get an accurate one, too.
Today my Micky D's pedometer rang up 14 steps from when I hit zero to when I clipped it on my belt. My total for 20 minutes walking at brisk pace said 1880 steps. I need to drive the circuit I walked and see what distance I covered.
P.S. Anyone have the talking pedometer by Totes? I have enough points accrued at Harris Poll online to get one of them, but I don't want to blow my points if the pedometer's not worth it. Here's a link to the pedometer at another site: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/beltoutlet/tapebyto.html
