Default question of the day 1-3-05

New year, new thing.... Lets try it?

At my meeting last week, we talked about getting rid of those tempting foods.

Question:

Would you actually throw out (in the garbage) red-light foods?

My answer -- yes, but with guilt.

Same here, yes with guilt. I'm thinking of bringing them to the office (far from my office). : )

Can't throw them away (too much guilt) instead I foist them off on others by either bringing them to work or giving them to my son to bring back to school and give to other poor starving college students (I do that quite a bit).

I can't throw out perfectly edible food either. If it's something hubby likes, he puts it in his office - outta sight outta mind. Otherwise, it comes to work. My one co-worker was thrilled today to get a couple of pounds of nuts that I just can't keep around! I know nuts have good fat, but I can't eat 5-7 pistachios and leave it at that!

I could never throw food in the trash, there are too many hungry folks out there. All non-perishable no-no foods will be sent to the local food bank. perishable foods will be given to single parent friends.

Okay then I'll bring the rest of the cookies in tomorrow...

I did throw out some christmas pud and evil cognac sauce... That wouldn't be work appropriate.

I wish I took a picture of my washstand. It was chock a block full of chocolate and sweets from France. I told DP that she had to find somewhere to put all this...

Definitely! Especially if it was something I knew was going to be big trouble for me. I have hidden things and forgotten about it and like some, out of sight, out of mind.
