I will be attending my first WW meeting tonight. I need to know what to expect. Where do I get the materials that I need and how much will they cost?

First off how much it costs to join depends on your region and if any specials are running. Same with an additional materials you want to buy.

At the first meeting you'll fill out some paperwork, pay and then get weighed. You then have a meeting with a specific topic and newbies usually stay after to get more specific questions answered.

Usually the Food Companion, Dining Out Companion are available but not really necessary to do the program as you get basics when you pay and you get weekly materials each week.

Default Hi Shelle

Today was my first day. I go to meetings in southwest Michigan. Today was my first day... I registered, but didn't stay for the whole meeting as I had a dentist appt.

Here, registration is 18 bucks, then 12/week if you don't want a package. They give you a starter packet, which includes a little workout DVD. I also got the little magazine and the weekly recipe handout - this week is red bean chili. Those are free. There are other cookbooks, etc, available but you don't NEED them. Tomorrow I'm going for a full meeting and I'm going to buy the serving spoons that are sized for portioning... i.e. the 'one cup' ladle.

Good luck hun...
