Default Blackberries

I read somewhere that any kind of berry was healthy to eat. I bought some frozen blackberries for a snack and now I don't see them mention anywhere in the SBD book. Can I get some opinions about this fruit. They are so good for you. I put splenda on them and ate them while still semi- frozen, almost like ice cream.

Thanks, Chris

You can start adding berries and fruits back into your diet in Phase 2, but you're supposed to avoid them completely in Phase 1, from what I've read at least.

I'm sooo ready for next week. Just the word berry has me drooling....

Angela is right. You can add them back in Phase II. They are so good for you - as are blueberries. I love them blended with yoghurt and a bit of Splenda.

Thanks chicks
hummmmmm, mixing them with yogurt sounds good. I have a hard time with calicum, so I'll try that. BTW, I lost 7 pounds in PhaseI. YIPPIE!!!!!!!!

They are also good with some splenda and cottage cheese - that is my afternoon snack nearly every day (I use any kind of berry - they are all yummy!).

Congrats, Chris40! That's great about your loss in Phase 1!

I love frozen berries! Make sure there is no sugar added to them, though. (they sneak sugar in everywhere! ) I blend mine with yogurt, a bit of splenda syrup, ground flax seed, and some skim milk to make an awesome smoothie. Sometimes I also add protein powder.

Yum!
