Default Low Carb Bread from Trader Joes

Does anyone eat the low carb breads? The one I bought has 3 carbs per slice.

I'm following SB but I'm not doing a 2-week strict phase. I'm beginning with P2 and will stay until I reach my goal. Granted I'll lose a little slower, but that's fine with me.

Thanks!

South Beach is good carb rather than low carb. There are some low carb products that we can use but most have foods we should not eat. For breads you want to look for whole wheat (or other whole grains). Do not get breads with enriched flour. If I remember the numbers right you want 4 grams of fiber per slice and to keep the sugar low.

Curly, Barb is exactly right. Whether the bread is low in carbs or not does not matter. You may find that many low carb products substitute things like corn flour (which we should not eat) to reduce the carbs. Instead, look for whole grains and no "enriched" flour. I believe Trader Joe's carries the Ezekiel bread, which is really good and is SBD friendly. I use their hamburger and hot dog rolls. Yummmm!

I envy you having a Trader Joe's nearby! I love their stores!
