Default Hi, newTo SB
Hi everyone,

About 10 days ago I went to the Drs for a physical and found out my blood pressure is high. This is possibly hereditay but more likely all the weight I had gained. This shocked me into action.

I have been a yoyo dieter for about 6 years. About the first of the year I decided to stop dieting and deal with the underlining emotions of why I overeat. I now have some understanding. With this understanding I have started lossing weight in the past month. A week ago my Dr suggested the SB diet. I just started week 2. I am trying to take it one day at a time.

Welcome, cac! My husband had the same problem. After two weeks on SB, his blood pressure was within normal limits for the first time in two years. You're going to love it here

Welcome to the Beach! Did you doctor put you on medicine or is he letting you try diet first? My doctor has me on 3 different blood pressure medicines. I am hoping when I see her next to get her to let me reduce or eliminate at least some of them. My blood pressure has been better since I started on SBD a week and a half ago.

Thanks for everyones support! I really need it now. It has been hard for me to except that I allowed myself to get this heavy.

After the first appointment two weeks ago, I had to get of caffine and change my allergy medicine. I was not prepared to also go on SB at the time. When I went back the following week (last week) the top number was in normal range but not the lower number. So she put me on the minimum amount of bloodpressure medicine which will stop once my weight goes down enough to effect th bottom number. I'll find out Thursday if a week on SB and exercise combined with the medication has made a difference.
