Where, oh where, to work out?
have a dilemma... I got to talking with some women at work, and apparently, if you're an MPHI affiliate, you can get an ID card at Student Services at MSU, where I went to school, and you get access to all the workout facilities at the same price as students ($1/day, $2/class, which one woman says that nobody collects) ... that's really cheap to work out... at least it seems cheaper than the gym across the street from work. I figured it out, with the fee, and each workout at the gym across the street is about 3.60, if I go an average of 3x/week. So even after I finish being a student, I'll have my MPHI affiliate card. One of the ladies at work said that sometimes she goes to class over lunch hour (just takes a longer lunch and comes in early or stays later) for a class. They have all kinds of workouts... stretching, toning, step aerobics, yoga.
Well, anyway, the thing I'm worried about is accountability. I want to go to work out at least 3 times a week. Will I do that if I don't have something staring me in the face (RIGHT across the street from work?) Will I do it across the street even if it IS staring me right in the face? I should print out a picture of my wedding dress... tape it to my desk... something... I feel motivated, usually, but when it comes time to actually DO it, I wimp out. Bleh... I don't know! ACK! I need to start exercising soon! I have to make a decision, and it needs to be in the next few days. My fiance thinks I should probably stick with the gym across the street, since it's prepaid, and if I've already paid for it, I'll be more likely to go... whereas at the school's facilities, it's pay as you go. Plus, the school is NOT on my way home, whereas I have to look at this gym every day.
What do you chickies think?
