Hi. My best friend has asthma but wants to start diet and exercise. Is very limited in exercise because of asthma. Any suggetsions from someone who has been there? She needs enough of an intense work out to lose weight but not so much she can't breath.

Hi, Meri. I sure can relate to your friend! I have pretty bad asthma myself and am not able to walk outside, due to the cold and the hills, so I bought a used treadmill and it's much easier on my breathing. I've also started going to Curves for Women a couple months ago, but I have to admit, somedays it's pretty hard on my breathing. Depends on the day. However, they do stress to take it at your own pace and go slowly if I can't breathe. Wishing the best to you and your friend!
