Default Question about points

I was just wondering if you are supposed to reach your daily points each day, or just stay under them. I am at 24 points and i didnt know im supposed to have 24 each day or just stay under that many. I heard someone say they had a snack at night just to reach their points so i wasnt sure.

Hi Leish-
According to my WW leader, it is very important that you make sure you use all of your alloted points for the day-in your case that would be 24. on some weeks when I weigh in and I have gained a little( a few ounces, usually), I get frustrated. And the first thing I am asked is if I am using ALL of my points daily. Because if you don't, the chances are greater that you will gain.
Good Luck-
Carol

My leader has always said never drop below 20 but that it is best to use all your points , even AP points. You don't want your body to go into starvation mode or you will find it harder to lose. I have always tried to use all my points. Good luck on your journey - check in often!

Hi Leish,
I forgot to tell you that if you exercise, you may use the extra points you get from exercising for food. However, if you do NOT use those extra points, they do NOT carry over to the next day. I hope I am making sense. In other words, say you walked for an hour at a moderate pace, and earned 3 points for exercise, you may add the 3 points to your total food points for that day only. For you, that would give you 27 points. The activity points do not carry over from one day to the next.
Good Luck at weigh in!
Carol
