Default St Patrick's Day Challenge- Week 2

I thought I would start a new thread, that one was getting pretty long!
Judy- That is amazing! Congrats on a huge accomplishment!!! You should be so proud of yourself!
Dazzled- When is your meeting? Good luck! It will be helpful to have a firm # to start with!
Diana- I will go check out your info over at FT later. How has your weekend been?
I hit the gym this morning, then helped build a snow sculture at a winter carnival this afternoon. DD and I are going swimming right away. I haven't taken her since Aug (she was not even 11 months old then) so I am excited!
I was extra hungry after supper tonight, but came here to post instead of eating more.
TTYL!

Tara, swimming sounds like fun
Dazzled, is your scale consistant from one time to the next? That's all that really matters. Hmm...you do live far away. But I've been there once many years ago (15). That's got to count for something I've had a not htat great weekend, I usually have that problem. Oh well. Right now I feel like giving up. I'm really quite down today. MAybe tomorrow will be better. It's jsut so hopeless I am goin ot go as this isn't helping anyone........
Oh, Judy, I'm glad you're doing well. Isn't it nice to be in new weightloss territory

Diana- Hang in there. You can get over a bad weekend. Don't feel so down, tomorrow is always a new day. And really, twenty years from now are you really going to care that you went over pts one weekend? Forgive yourself, then move on. You are a great person, I know you always make me feel better about everything! I know it is important to improve your health in every way possible, but it is also important to love yourself as you are- a great mother, friend, sister,aunt...
Swimming was fun. My daughter still loves it, which was a relief! I am going to try to take her at least once a week. I have now had 5 days OP. I don't feel any thinner, but I do feel healthier without all that greasy crap food in me! My bathing suit will definitely fit better once I lose 10lbs! (Or even if I quit nursing!) I actually looked for my maternity suit just because my other one is SO tight in the chest. Fortunately, I lent it to a friend. I don't think wearing maternity clothes would be very good for myself image!

Hey Gals, I have been so busy this morning. First I had to wait in line to sign my girls up for swim class this morning. Emma is moving up to solo lessons (without a parent in the water). I am so nervous about that! Then I get to leave 30 minutes early to take Emma to dance class. She is so excited about it. At 3 1/2 years old, she is doing so much more than I ever did. This time I brought something along to do, so I don't look so bored. They don't like parents in the dance room. Tho I did sneak in last week and get a couple pictures.

I don't get a lunch break today because of my other things, so I am eating at my desk in a little bit. I am starving.

I'll catch up later!!

Jen- Thats so great that you have your girls involved in fun events. I want to do that with my daughter too. I couldn't be in many things when I was young, we lived on a farm 30 minutes from the city. So I want her to get to do whatever she wants!
Are you eating healthy at your desk? How was your weekend? When is your WI day?
If any of you ever hear me complaining about being an at home mom, (you shouldn't, I love it!) remind me of my lazy mornings- today dd and I didn't wake up until 10:40!!! We had a very active day yesterday, and we were tired!!
I better get going- I have to check with SIL on a date, we are going to The Spa one weekend!

Tara, I am not going to meetings now. I decided to do it on my own this time around. This could also be why I am losing so slow. But with 2 young children and working, I just don't have time for the meetings. So I count my Friday weigh in as official. I ate OK for lunch. I bring my lunch most days because it is cheaper and I can control what I am eating better.

I also didn't do much as a child because we lived too far away. Now I make it a priority for my kids, plus I love to watch them. I brought along some knitting and a book this time tho, because I can only peak through the door window. But I don't want Emma to see me much because then she gawks at me and doesn't listen to the teacher.

I wish I had a lazy morning at home!!!

Weigh in tomorrow, I may pay and not weigh depending on how my gym clothes feel. However, I have been pretty retentive on my journalling and water drinking. I had thai for lunch (not good day before weigh in), but another 64 oz. of water should flush it out.

I did go to the gym each day this week, nice to see the shiny stars on my calendar!

Good luck to everyone this week.

Jen- I wrote you a HUGE post earlier this afternoon, then Lauren came and hit the reset button on my computer!! Good luck concentrating on your knitting or book at dance tonight! Does your younger daughter go with you too?
Lala- Good luck, if you decide to WI tomorrow night! I never eat Thai, is it really salty? Water is the cure for everything! Do you just go and pay if you don't want to discourage yourself with the WI?
I wish I could WI tomorrow. I have stayed OP everyday this week, and would like to see my 1st week results. But, I am the president of the board, so I can't really miss or be late for the meeting! Although...I just had an idea of how I may be able to swing it...gotta go make some phone calls!!

I'm back,

Thanks Tara for trying to make me feel better. It's nice to know that someone cares I'm doing a bit better today. I'm really scared that I'll go beck into my Postpartum Depression. It's such a scary place to be. Yesterday I cried all evening, no tears today, so that's a really good sign.

I made some 0 point soup today for supper. I didn't tell DH what it was because he'd probably decide then that he didn't like it I also weighed this morning and am still the same from last weigh in date. Good considering that I never have good weekends. I really wish I could stick to my points. I give up too easy. I annoy myself.

Tara, I agree, wearing maternity clthes at this point would be really hard on the mind. I wore some "regular" clothes all through my pregnancy to make myself feel better then, but now I'm still wearing those "regular" clothes, hmmmmm...it does make me wonder

Jen, why don't you get to watch your daughter in dance class? Can you at least watch her in her swim class? I just think you're missing out! I wish we had some options for things you can put your kids in. Here, it's hockey or nothing. Small towns have their share of negatives (although there are many positives too).

Tara, don't you just love those mornings. My little one is usually in bed till 10 am. It is so nice So you're going to a spa, when? That would be so fun! What type of things would you do there? hmmmm...must be nice

Lala, the gym everyday, that's a super accomplishment! I'm sure you'll be down tomorrow. Best of luck to you The water will have flushed it all out, so no worries. Journalling is the key, and staying within your points. I wish I didn't find it so hard to do.

Tara, did you work it out so that you can go and WI after all? I know how it can be important to you and your motivation for the next week. If you can't go to your meeting, go to your friend's and use her scale. Or make DH get yours out just for tomorrow morning. Do you still have to pay for a meeting that you miss? We have to here and I think it's really dumb

Well, I should go to bed, DS and DH are already fast asleep,
Diana

Diana,
I am so happy to see you back!! I decided to check in one more time before bed, and was going to private message you if you hadn't posted!

Did you have bad PPD? I have read a lot about it, but have been fortunate not to experience it. If there is ever anything I can do, please let me know! Even if it would just help to email or whatever!

Thats great that you can maintain while being over pts on weekends. Thats important for living your life!
Was your 0 pt soup the WW one from the book? I make lots of different soups.
My husband is like yours too- I don't tell him if something is healthy or he won't want it. But then, tonight, he pulls out my Crispy Minis and wants to eat them. (instead of all the other snacks I buy for him) The only reason he wanted them? Because they
were open!??

We are going to the spa the end of May. I doubt we will get any treatments. Too $$ with me not working right now! Our room will have a jacuzzi in it, and we will use the mineral spa. There is a casino across the street. DH and I went there for a mini honeymoon, but it will probably be more fun with another couple to do things with!

I won't be able to make WI tomorrow, but I gave it my best shot! And when I WI next week it will be that much better. No, I don't have to pay for any missed meetings or for re-joining. I have been a Lifetime Member since Feb 2001. Even when I am not at my goal weight, it still has its advantages!!

My board meeting is a supper meeting, and they are ordering in pizza. Fortunately I have 22 FP left, and I can save most of my other daily pts too. I thought I didn't like this new system, but I may just change my mind!

You are right, Diana, it is nice to have babies who sleep in! I don't think I will be as luck tomorrow, though, as she has been sleeping since 7 tonight. Is your son is 9 months? They grow so fast! My dd will be 17 mo this week. She is using the potty every morning, and talks non stop. It is so much fun!

Well, I have rambled on enough! Have a good sleep everyone!

Hey gals... went to dance and did more chatting than knitting. But that is OK. The reason I don't watch Emma is because they don't want the parents in the dance room, so the kids concentrate better... and some kids can be clingy. I do sneak peaks through the window in the door tho!! For swimming, I have been in the water with the kids for all the classes. But next week Emma (3 1/2) moves to the next level where parents aren't in the water. But I will sit on the bleacher and watch. I am nervous about it tho! Kate doesn't come to dance with us because hubby picks her up and goes home to make dinner for Emma and I. I am sure she will come once in awhile, but it is nice that hubby picks her up so I don't have to wrestle both kids!

I am planning on going to the gym at lunch again!! Oh and I have another training to do in 10 minutes. Just waiting around for that!

HEY... it's Fat Tuesday today. Not a good thing, but I am ignoring that it is so I don't have an excuse to overeat!

Jen- What is Fat Tuesday? What kind of training do you do? Is that the main part of your job? That is great that you hubby picks up Kate and makes supper. If my DH did that, I can't imagine what we would end up eating! Have fun at the gym!
I am going to the gym this afternoon, my Mom is coming over to watch L. I haven't been getting there as much as I would like. Yesterday we went for a walk with the stroller. (Over ice and snow!) Then I did abs at home. It will be nice when we can walk every day, but it is scary to think about West Nile.
Today is Day7 OP for me! I am so happy that I made it! Now I KNOW that I can get this weight off again!

Tara... Fat Tuesday is the start of Mardi Gras. Also, I believe it is called Shrove Tuesday in the religious sense. Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent. But anyway, on today people eat as much as possible of everything they can't eat during Lent.

I do computer software training. I work for a software developer and I train people how to use our software. Today was a phone training with a new customer. I also do group trainings where people register to come. I also do the accounts here and many other things. We are a small company, so I am a jack of all trades!

My training is done now and went well. The person was picking this info up quickly, so that is good!

Ahhh.... I feel stressed today. I didn't sleep well and had weird dreams.

Jen- Ah yes, now that you explain it, I have heard of that before! Thats funny that Lent and Mardi Gras are on at the same time!
Try to get rid of your stress at the gym, so it doesn't turn into emotional eating! We all want you to do well when you get on the scale Friday!
We have had a quiet morning, a trip to the store where we visited for awhile, and a quick walk of a friend's dog.
I found a new bread at the store! I think it is called Source One...it is 2 pts for 2 pieces or 0 for 1 piece!! There is white or brown and it is Calcium enriched. The best thing, is that it looks normal sized instead of tiny like WW bread! Has anyone tried it? I am for lunch!

I have never heard of that bread, in fact, most of the light bread people mention we don't have. I buy D'Italiano Lite bread. It is 2 slices for a point. That is the only lite bread I can find, but I like it, so that is OK. We don't have WW bread, but we have the frozen things they sell.
