It is a dreary Monday here in LA. At least it is cool.

I am looking on the internet today to see if I can find any ideas for a Halloween party. We made a last minute deceision to have one at our house. I am going to try to find soem ideas for food. It will be all adults so I could probably get away with not doing it but I think it would be fun. We all have to dress up and I am not really a dress up person but I guess I will play along.

My weekend was pretty quite. We went to a lobster boil on Friday and I spent all of Saturday recouping from all of that butter.

Not much to report as for today though. I hope all of you are haiving a great one so far.

Talking Finally the weekend is over!

Whew! I made it.......I work four hours this evening from 730 pm until ll30 pm......and then I am off until the second week of November.....unless I pick up along the way.....going to try not to too much.

I need to go out and get groceries today....pick up dd from kindergarten and take a subway sub to dd 11......no lunch stuff today.....hubby watched football yesterday and then took the girls to his mothers for supper last night and didnt' get to the store on the way home so it is an up in the air kinda Monday but that is ok once and a while.

Not sure who missed me more this weekend...everyone was in bed together this morning....I had kids on either side of me and my yorkie on my chest nose to nose with me...hubby was fighting for a piece of me too......it is so nice to be loved.......

Made cookies with the girls yesterday before I went to work and they did a pretty good job. Hubby is starting to work out with a personal trainer today so he was pretty excited about that and in a great mood today!'

Well I better get dd 5 out the door to the bus.....she is busy drawing butterfly's, ladybugs and bumble bees...she is so adorable.

Have a good one everyone....check with you later!

I have no milk for coffee this morning....guess I will have to buy one when I go pick dd 5 up from kindergarten!

Bye

Liz

Good Morning Chickadees!

Everybody sounds busy already! guess that's normal for this group of chicks!

It's 50ish and gloomy weather around here today, but that's ok - the real SON is always shining regardless of the weather! In Louisiana this is what we call gumbo weather. Wish I was home cooking one right now!

For those of yall keeping up with Dr. Phil's weightloss challenge, don't forget it's Monday and his show is on this afternoon. Also tonight on ABC at 7:00 there is a special called "Fat Like Me, How to Win the Weight War". I think it is about childhood obesity but should be interesting. I plan to at least tape it if I don't get a chance to watch it - bec you never know at my house what you are doing next.

Boss is calling for me - I better get with it.

Hope to check back later!

Hope everybody has a blessed day!

hugs,
Cathy

Well, if you must know, I am sitting here really bored! This is one of the bad things about the time change. The day will just creep on by until I get used to it. My stomach isn't used to it yet either. I was hungry at 11 today but I had to hold back a little. Otherwise I would really be bored right now. I am trying to get some things done but I really don't have much to do.

Busy Lizzy !!

Cathy I always forget to tape Dr. Phill but then I'm always forgetting to bring my lunch to work so OY!

Angry Good evening ladies

I didn't post this weekend, but I was out there lurking :

Leenie: I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. My mom died at 62-she missed an awful lot of living.

Cathy & Kempy: Your weather sounds a lot like ours-cold, cloudy, and YUCKY!

Liz: You sound so much better today. A family snuggle is a nice way to start the day!

Leenie & Kempy: I read your posts this weekend about battling depression. Kemp, I feel the same way-I've been making excuses to stay at home instead of going out. I've missed TOPS meetings and even a few church services because it was just too much of an effort. I wonder if using a light box might help. We do get more sunshine down here in the winter, but we still have the same amount of daylight. I guess realizing that I have this problem is the first step toward solving it .

Liz: I hope you can work out a less hectic schedule with your job. You need to have that "downtime" to spend w/your DH and your girls.

Lynnie, Tippy, and anyone else out there I missed

Have a blessed evening !

Good night
