hey there woman!!!! you're talking to someone who puts chinese hot chili paste in deviled eggs!!! salsa and chili powder, too!!!!
let's face it. the first month or so postop, eating spicy foods feels like you've rubbed hot peppers into your eyes, except that it's in your tummy. makes sense, when you think about it. you have unhealed incisions there, and the hot stuff is like rubbing it into a cut.
but as with everything. this DOES get better. your tummy heals. and the spicy stuff goes down as easily [or not] as it did before surgery!!!
which all means: i eat the spicy stuff. i loved it before surgery, and after healing, it was just fine. and peachie doesn't eat the spicy stuff... she didn't before, and she doesn't now!!!
My husband and I went to TGIFriday's for dinner last night and I got the buffalo chicken strips, they were so good and I told them I'll see them probably in 6 months or more. I always get their cajun chicken salad, I'm not sure if I'll be able to have the dressing, I believe it's a bacon mustard one but it probably has sugar in it. I'll have to ask.
I figured I would have to let my poor tummy heal awhile but at least I know I can still try it after awhile.
