i've been using nectar proteins. i tried the GNC pro performance whey and that was Ok for awhile. didn't like the isopure, or the atkins. EAS myoplex strawberry wasn't bad when it was icy cold.

the homemade eggnog thing isn't bad either.

but please realize that if i didn't have to drink these, i wouldn't go out of my way to use theM!!!

PurlpleRoses - what a pretty name!!! Welcome!! I personally LIKE the EAS carb control protien drinks. Yes - I MUST be crazy because I really do like how they taste. My favorite is the Strawberry Cream. I also like the EAS carb control protien bars. My absolute fave is the chocolate peanut butter. I think they taste like recees peanut butter cups. I do try to get my protien from regular food, but I have a very hectic lifestyle and am on the go A LOT. Therefore, if I don't grab a drink or a bar for breakfast, I just don't eat and that is bad. I don't use them for replacing every meal, just breakfast mostly. Also - I will eat a protien bar if I am in DIRE need of a chocolate fix!!! I feel this is a better compromise than the alternative - namely Hershey!!! The EAS carb control drinks are less expensive at Wal-Mart. The protien bars are less expensive if bought in a box of 12(?) at Sam's Club. Hope this tidbit was helpful. Good luck. I will be thinking of you!!! Have a super day!!! S.

most of the surgeons i know believe that carnation instant breakfast is too high in carbs for us, even the SF stuff. but at least with the additional powdered milk the protein is THERE.

but a lot of people are lactose intolerant after the surgery. what do your dieticians suggest they do???? the CIB with milk plus extra powdered milk has to be pure torture for them!!!

I just found a website that has a sampler packed of the 4 flavors nectar protien plus 5 flavors champion protien for a total of 9 flavors that my sister is ordering to try. It was 17.90 for the sampler including shipping. If anyone is interested i can send it to them or post if its ok to do that.
