I lost 9.2 lbs the first two weeks. I think the more you have to lose, the more will come off in the beginning, especially if it's a drastic change in eating for you. My dad lost between 15 and 20!
I would be interested, too. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the total number of pounds one has to lose, as well. I know that I only need to lose about 30 pounds to be considered "normal" BMI, but I'd like to really lose about 35. I'm guessing I won't lose the "8 to 13" pounds in 2 weeks, but if I lose 5 that will be a good start! It would be 5 pounds less that what I am now!
hello Bella, I lost 16 the first 2 weeks, maintained that till now (1 1/2 weeks of phase2)
I have to jumpstart the weight loss again. I want to lose about 28 more pounds.
On the first 2 weeks of Phase 1 I lost 5 pounds. I really stuck to it and changed so many of my bad eating habits.....example..snacking!!! That really got out of hand!
I am doing a very slight variation going into Phase 2. Just adding back a fruit or two. I'm in week 3 now, and have 5 or 6 more pounds to lose to get back to my goal weight that I strayed away from.
I'm not in a hurry, I just want it off. I believe SBD is a sensible way to get there! My DH is doing a modified SBD along with me. He eats what I fix for dinners. He is losing , too.
Let me know how you're doing. Sounds like we came to the Beach about the same time.
I am still in ph 1 and am around the 7 pound mark. My friend, who doesn't have as much to lose as me, and I suspect she doesn't stick to the plan as stringent, has lost about 1.5 pounds in her first week (she wants to shed 30 pounds).
I released 8.5 pounds in two weeks on Phase 1, and after seven weeks have lost 13.5 pounds (no....I didn't just copy Marcie's post, but have to smile because our numbers are identical!!).
I only have 18 pounds to lose before I'm back to pre-pregnancy weight (although I'd like to lose another 10 after that, but I couldn't get below 130 BEFORE I got pregnant, so I'm not too hopeful that this time it'll be any different, especially since I've built so much muscle). I have a feeling that it's going to come off painfully slowly, but I'm going to stick with it and not give up. I just count each day that I don't GAIN weight a success, even if I haven't lost anything. :-D
