Default I’m new...

I’ve worked in a sedentary job for 20 years and have become more than complacent...and lazy...as it relates to exercise. Not only that, I’ve developed poor eating habits. I turn 50 in late June and maybe that’s the inspiration I’ve needed to lose weight. I’m not going to set unrealistic goals (I don’t believe I will ever weigh 120 lbs again), but I think 145 lbs is an attainable goal - a weight loss of 47 lbs - that I can reach by the end of the year.

Good luck everyone!

Welcome!

I think 145 seems very attainable. It's a few pounds into the healthy weight range recommended for your height, so it should be fine.

What are you planning to do to lose weight (food, exercise, etc.)?
