Fortunately that is transient, no? I had heard MSM can help with hair loss though I don't know if that is substantiated.

Are you getting plenty of fiber to prevent gallstones?

You are doing GREAT!

I'd have my hormones and thyroid tested if I were you. Fast weight loss can have an impact on both, and both can have an impact on hair loss.

At least that bald spot is easy to hide.

wow. I never knew hair loss could happen by loosing weight.

I hope I am not being out of line by saying this. I would accept the bald spots. I can live with being bald. but most of us on here cant live too much longer at our current weights. Hope i did not offend any one

I have heard of hair loss happening from weight loss, but unfortunately I have never lost enough weight to cause it myself. I thought it was from lack of protein/nutrients but here is something I found online about it.

A more likely cause of hair loss with weight loss is "telogen effluvium.". The stress to one's system from sudden or excessive weight loss can throw hair follicles into their resting phase. This is when many hairs are shed. Other stressors -- high fevers, childbirth, surgery -- can lead to telogen effluvium.
