Default Committing to myself...

I've always struggled with my weight, or so I thought. I was always the tall, bigger girl but I was an athlete and that was a good thing. I stopped playing sports when I destroyed my ankle in college playing basketball and discovered college life. I quickly gained the sophomore 40 and have really struggled ever since... and that was almost two decades ago.

Almost a decade ago I met my husband. I was in such a good head space that I started to lose weight and when we got engaged I lost a bunch of weight and looked and felt amazing. (See Avatar... that was my wedding day!) soon after that we went on our honeymoon and I splurged and gained a few pounds... life kept happening and a year later I got pregnant and had a preemie... gained about 30 pounds but lost a good bit after that but nursing made me hold on to about 10 pounds. Soon after I stopped nursing I got pregnant again and gained too much. My youngest is now 2 years old and I weigh only 10 lbs less than when I had him.

I have been "trying" to lose weight for about a year but I fall off the wagon as soon as I hit a bump. I am committed to making this summer the summer of my health. I am in a good head space. My kids don't "need" me as much so I can take breaks for myself (or feel as though I can) and I have a very supportive husband that is on the same journey.

I recently discovered spinning and love it. We even bought a spin bike at home so that we can use it when we can't get to the classes. I'm recommitting to WW but trying to focus on small goals. I'm listening to "this year I will..." and trying to implement that approach.

Today's goal- track everything and order a journal. I ordered my journal and have tracked so far.

I am looking forward to having a community to help me through this. I need to feel accountable and I love to see others' success and support them. So thank you in advance for being my new tribe... I hope to be there for you too!

I'm a newbie here also

Glad I'm not the only one who has fallen off the wagon when a bump comes. It's super hard to get back on the wagon and you know it is just easier to stay off.
