I plan to update my weight daily . . . I had a 9.2 lb. loss for January. Officially banning the old scale effective February 1. I have less than a week left in a DietBet (finished one on Monday with a 9.2 lbs loss) and after this second one is over I won't be setting any number/deadline goals. My goal is to make good choices, but not deny myself the occasional treat. I will continue to find extra movement where possible (taking the stairs instead of the elevator, parking far from the entrance, etc.). I will also add in 30 minutes of exercise (most likely dancing with the Wii or something similar) at least 3 days a week.

Hello again, guys! I lost 22.6 lbs last month, but I know that was just the first big whoosh of initial weight loss, so I am keeping my monthly loss goal of at least 10 lbs. I think that is keeping a more realistic expectation on things, especially with the initial water weight being gone already and this being a shorter month. Good luck, everyone!

Hi Everyone!

I have restarted my journey 11 days ago. I have lost 7.2 lbs in that time. I have set myself a goal for Feb to lose 8lbs. I look forward to getting to know you all.

I lost 15.8 pounds in January! I was definitely not expecting that. I'm gonna mess around with my calorie intake and aim for 8 pounds in February. 2lb/week.

Great to see you too! I've had many changes in my life. I changed jobs after 11 years (in August). I started my own online clothing boutique in July (Agnes & Dora) and am working on building that business, hoping to gain some financial freedom and pay off some (a lot of) debt. Still doing the Scentsy thing. My daughter finished her master's degree and she and the grandsons moved away last June (sigh). I don't get to see them nearly as much as I would like, but we (me and the boys) are adjusting to our new normal. They are 6 1/2 and 8 now. They are still the light of my life and my reason for existing . . . and they still love me like I'm perfect. I've been plugging along with the weight-loss. It's been slow and somewhat steady. I finally feel like I'm doing it right. I'm 23 lbs from my goal. Although I haven't been on 3FC in a very long time, I think of you guys often.

Kris good for you on your journey. I'm so proud of you. You are a strong woman Are you still doing your art work also? I'm so far from my goal (sigh) only a little less than 8lbs from where I started in 2010.

LOVE2B!!!! It is so good to see you too!!! I feel like we're getting the band back together! My son is wonderful, thank you for asking. Are you ready? He just turned 13

Once I hit my lowest, I thought I didn't need to post, journal and keep track of things. Well, we see how that worked out. I'm back and I have NO plans on going anywhere ever again. I have made the commitment to log all of my foods in my journal and post here daily for a minimum of 2 years. I'm hoping by the end of that time, it is something that is just second nature to me and I can keep it going permanently if need be.

It feels so great to be back with my people again. This place is just as magical as I remember it.

How are you doing? What's new and exciting in your world? Get me caught up!

Thank you. I'm still doing some crafts, but don't have much time for it these days. Don't get too down on yourself. I've done my share of going backwards. I think we all have. Every day is a new day to make a step in the right direction. One day at a time.

Don't let that deter you, Love. I'm right there with you. I gained all my weight back and then some.

What matters is that we are here now and posting. I swear 3FC is the best support group I've ever been a part of. There is strength in numbers and we all will see our goals again and we WILL reach them together!!

I wish I knew how to add pictures to my post. I'd love to show off my son. He's quite handsome (if I do say so myself! )

Rennie (and anyone else struggling with "going backwards") - I wrote this - http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/5149303-post13.html - almost two years ago.

"No more looking back with sadness/shame. If I look back it will be to learn from my mistakes."

And this - http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/4854931-post63.html - a little over three years ago.

"it's time I take a more proactive approach to life and focus on doing things that will improve my overall health and quality of life. I think I could easily just lay down and be done, but I'm choosing not to do that. Happiness needs to become a conscious choice and hopefully, eventually, happiness & joy will be a natural byproduct of my life."
