Welcome to the latest segment of 10 Days In The Life Boat.
This is not a "challenge" but a place for accountability to ourselves and support from our fellow rowers. So, what is your plan for this 10 day segment?
Grab an oar and join us doing our best to not fall out of the boat and get wet. We need to meet our goals to stay dry.
My goals are going to be simple as I've been unable to hold "it" together lately.
1. Seriously think about what I'm putting in my mouth, and why?
2. Try to stick somewhere near my WW pts limit.
I'm back. I need to be checking in daily. My weight loss seems to have slowed enough that I think it can safely be called a plateau. I did yesterday and today as high-calorie days to try to break the plateau. Tomorrow it's back to WW, sticking to daily points with a few weekly points leeway. But the main goal I need to check in on is exercising daily. I also need to get back to all my metabolism-boosting habits, a lot of which I've let drop off since school started.
For this 10 days, though, I 'll consider myself dry if I both stick to my points and stick to the exercise plan.
My goal for the next 10 days is to eat my veggies during the day. When I eat my veggies it fills me up and it keeps me from feeling hungry and craving high calorie foods.
I bought some grape tomatoes, mini carrots, babybel light cheese, and snap peas to snack on at work. I have some grapes for a bit of sweetness and some great looking fuji apples.
I had a pretty good day. Ate as planned, did a 20-minute kick box workout, drank my target amount of white tea, stayed pretty well hydrated, and kept my fiber fairly high.
Now to do all that again tomorrow... row, row, row!
I've been out of the boat for so long I look like an over-sized wrinkled prune!! Back into the boat to dry off!! I had my physical yesterday and my blood work came back as pre-diabetic. That is enough of a wake up call for me to get on track to lose some weight and get healthier! My goal for the next ten days is to stay within my calorie limit and to keep a food journal. This will help me see where I am on and off track! Here's to staying dry!!
Sorry I've been missing. I've been swimming again BUT this is my 2nd day back in the boat too!
Larder's pretty empty. No junk, but also no fruit, veggies or yogurt. I definitely need to do a grocery run tomorrow, with an outside aisles only list. I can't let myself near the candy, cookie or chips aisles.
If you're on WW, and have a smart phone, have you tried their free Fit Break app? I love it. It leads you through one minute exercises most of us can do. It takes your WW info and tells you how many minutes you should do each day. You can get away with a lot of them at work or while watching tv.
Keep rowing ladies.......We need to work hard to meet our goals.

Got splashed yesterday, needed to grab a towel, but still in the boat. So it's four in a row!
I'm handcuffing one wrist to an oar. LOL
Next time around I need to set a goal to make better choices. I'm holding my points where they belong but some of my choices have left me scrambling by evening.
Finally grabbed on to the side of the boat this morning and climbed back in. Going to try and stay nice and dry and eat low carb and high protein along with my fruits and veggies. I'm all shriveled up I've been out of the boat so long
