Default When did you start to see/feel a difference?

Hi everyone,

I am new on my weight loss and had a question for everyone. At what point during your weight loss did your body start to feel different and you notice a change in your clothing? I haven't lost much yet (9 pounds) and was thinking about when I might start seeing my clothes fit better/me feeling better.
I know everyone is different but I am wondering in general.

Thanks

Hi Owldoit!
When I was bigger, I noticed a clothing change at about 20-25 pounds...as I got smaller it took about 10 pounds to go down a size. Everyone is different though, so you may see it sooner than later! Nice job on the 9 pounds so far

This is a hard one... I've lost almost thirty pounds and I barely notice a difference. But, everyone else does!!! It depends partly I think on your mentality. Cause I'm living in my body 24/7 I just don't notice it because its so gradual to me. My husband doesn't notice either. And while now, some clothes seem looser I can't really remember what tighter felt like, so its a big "is it? Isn't it?" I've only bought one new pair of pants because my old ones were too big. But they were also always too big, cause I bought them to big to deny that I was big, lol.

Some people really notice though. I wouldn't get discouraged if it takes a while to notice. Its definitely something I'm curious to see develop on my journey. I'd like my mind to catch up with my body. I'm sure if you stuck me immediately in my body from four months ago, I would be like "Yikes, how did these get so tight???" But such magic powers don't exisit.

Straight away. I was losing a pant size and half-a-shirt-size every couple of weeks.

But it took everyone else a whole while longer to notice my loss. I had to lose 80lbs before anyone really started to comment.

So good on you for doing this for how you feel/see yourself and not for other people's reactions!

Call me oblivious, but it took me about 75 lbs before I noticed any changes myself and about 90 lbs before anyone else noticed. (Including my Dr who I saw every 3 months.) But I was also extremely overweight. Now every 20 lbs or so people comment on how much more I've lost.

Thank you to everyone who replied. The going reply I have been getting so far from everyone is about 25 pounds. I'm good with that. I'm in no hurry to lose it or want to lose it too quickly because I want it to stay off. It will be nice when I go put on my tight jeans and they become my fat pants. :-D
