My IP Office is Shutting Down!
Waaah! I got a text from my coach last night informing me that she's closing her clinic at the end of the month. Which is next week. While I'm away on holidays! OMG! I feel like I'm really going to need extra support AFTER I get back because I am realistic enough to know that I will go off program during vacation. I feel kind of abandoned! Luckily there's another clinic in my town, but still....ugh!!
At least she offered to sell me whatever I want from her leftover product at a discount.

That's got to be a shocker! I'd make sure to get in touch with the other clinic and have your info transferred. There shouldn't be any charge (hopefully) to have it moved. Take advantage of the discounted products! Good luck with the change and have fun on your vacay! Try to stay OP. "knowing" you're likely to cheat doesn't mean you really have to. Be vigilant!

That's unfortunate Linda.lou, I'd say book with the other clinic right away for a seamless transition. You will definitely find great support here as always Good luck, I hope the new clinic is good, and that you have a great vacation!

Wow! That's pretty short notice. Take advantage of the discounts -- maybe that's the silver lining?

linda.lou that's really unfortunate. I second everyone here when I say call that other clinic ASAP to try to get an appointment in there! It's good that you have another clinic in your area. But yay for discounted packet!! Make sure you buy enough to get you through until you can get an appointment at the other clinic. Also, in the interim if you can't get into the other clinic right away after your vacay you always have the support of all of us here on 3FC!

Good Morning Ipeeps: So last evening and today are a special day. Twisted my knee at work, heard a "pop" and then excrutiating pain three hours later. Probably meniscus tear! Fun times.
However, I am proud to announce that I have not caved to sweets, I did have nuts yesterday but that's it! For the most part, staying on plan through this drama. Ah life!

Linda.lou that is such short notice! At least she gave you some notice...and discounts are always nice. Hopefully you'll be able to take full advantage of the discounts and get into the other clinic seamlessly. Have fun on vacation, I'm sure you'll do great!
Carmie that sounds so painful! Hopefully it won't take forever to heal. Congrats on not caving though! That's a pretty big accomplishment considering. Way to stay on plan throughout the drama, always something I aspire to
I checked my scale this morning (though I know daily weighing is discouraged) and I was happy to see another pound gone. I know my weight fluctuates throughout the day and throughout the week, but I still like stepping on in the morning and seeing a loss, it helps me stay motivated throughout the rest of the day. I need to go grocery shopping tonight and re-stock lean protein and veggies. I'm looking forward to trying some of the awesome recipes posted on this site, you guys are great! This site has already helped me so much, and certainly keeps me motivated every day! Thank you all so very much for being so knowledgeable and incredibly helpful!

I lost 40 on IP this fall and then went off plan through the holidays (holiday season ends with valentines day, right? )and gained back 5. I started back yesterday. Can I expect a couple of big losses to start out or is that wishful thinking on my part? I have another 50 pounds to go

Congrats on managing to prevent major weight gain through the holidays and getting back on track now! Your first weigh in should still be a little higher than usual due to depletion of glycogen stores but otherwise I would assume it should be normal. I guess you'll soon find out though!

Linda Lou - I agree with others - connect with the new clinic right away and don't let this be a reason for you to diverge from the path of your journey - and do take advantage of the discounts on foods!
Love your ticker, frawniemae!!!
Very sorry about your knee Carmie -- great news about avoiding the sweets, but I am sorry you are still turning to food (even just nuts) to deal with emotional turmoil. That's a big challenge for me too, altho just being determined to really stay on program has been a big help to me as I learn to work through my emotional upsets without eating something to ease the pain. Lately I am turning to water, instead of food, and that's working pretty well so far.
Today is WI with IP coach for me-- I am expecting little change due to being sick, but I am on meds for my respiratory infection and hoping to reduce the inflammation as quickly as possible. Will post results for the 25 by Spring challenge later this evening.

Weighed this morning on my home scales and am down 6 pounds from my last weigh-in!! I've been changing up my meat protein (had steak, porkchops and ground turkey this week) Had to postpone this week's weigh-in at the clinic because of weather. Going tomorrow. I also ordered some stuff from Nashua Nutrition I'm waiting on (ProtiDiet and Proti-Thin) products to help cut down on cost some. Hoping they don't make me stall or anything. I also ordered some Quest bars in Strawberry Cheesecake and EAS Low carb drinks, so I should be stocked up for awhile.

This has been an ongoing challenge for me that I've dealt with during the various phases. This program really makes it front and center!!! What I do now is to just acknowledge what is happening/ what I am feeling: "am I feeling bored?" "am I feeling sad?" "am I feeling anxious?" and then figure out an alternative--such as reassuring myself if I am anxious, or finding something else to do if I am bored, or telling myself it is okay to feel sad.
Hope you feel better oneuh2.
