Neat title - it's easy to feel motivated to make fluffy disappear.

I am aiming to be less fluffy by April 1. About 7 lbs. less fluffy. Mostly by consuming no alcohol and cutting out the sugary treats every second night. I'll go back to my once a week jelly bean night and that'll be it.

Less fluffy would be good. I need it to happen by 3/20, as I have rescheduled (and extended) my trip I was going to take at the end of January to the end of March.

Dagmar-- I read that as you would have one jelly bean! Ha!!

Shannon-- what trip are you taking??

My weight is good at the moment... I'd like to be a few pounds lower of course.... Since I like to travel a lot (hence my name!), I tend to relax my restrictions for travel, and try to not relax most of the rest of the time. Ideally, I would be a few pounds low when I travel to allow for "fluff". My next big trip is a cruise in April, though dh and I are spending two nights in Napa soon. Both of those could be potential big gains for me so I have to be careful in the meantime.

I'm quite grouchy but trying not to be about my relatives' upcoming trip out here. I know it will involve lots of expensive restaurants (and then we always feel obliged to pay at least once), late nights, inconveniences around everyone else's schedules, etc. They asked if I'm taking off from work... Um...no... I don't really get days off.... I do have two personal days a year I can take so I may take one while they are here, but it inconveniences everyone at school as they won't get a sub for me, so the library is just closed....

Today is a teacher workday (no students). I was hoping to "fly under the radar" and not participate in the teacher workshops. My VP just came in the library and asked what I was doing today and I told her I'm trying to accomplish a huge list of stuff (which is my goal today). I hope that sufficed....

Michele and Shannon--A cruise is on my bucket list. Everyone I know keeps raving about them. Enjoy! I'll live vicariously so please do share about your adventures.

I've been somewhat unfocused about losing these few holiday pounds. I'm hoping that a steady return to better behavior, balanced with not depriving myself too much will work slowly but surely. This past weekend I took an 11 mile hike around the lake, which is movement in the right direction.

I'm not doing a cruise in March, we are going to one of those all inclusive resorts where all you do all day is sit by the pool or the beach and people bring you stuff. A very decadent feeling.

I'm west of Boston, buried in snow. A trip to the tropics looks really inviting right now!

Luckily, I still have power so my treadmill is running to fight the fluff! Gonna have to shovel out later so I can fight the fluffy snow too!
