Happy Friday!!! As of today I am officially 8 pounds from my goal, though I will see how I feel once I get there - might shoot for an extra 5lbs to hit an even 160. My first time on IP I got down below 155, but it took a lot of physical activity to maintain there (I was at the gym about 1-2 hours every weekday). That kind of time just isn't available with my schedule right now, so I'll be happy at a higher but maintainable weight.

Looking forward to a busy weekend this week and next - tomorrow I get a much-needed haircut, the boys are christmas caroling at the local nursing home with cub scouts, and then we might get in a horse lesson if it's not too cold. Sunday my niece is marching in a parade, and we have the usual church activities. Thankfully, NO HOLIDAY PARTIES! My finals for school are in 2 weeks so I can use a few nights for studying

Hope everyone has a great OP day!

TGIF! I don't know about everyone else, but this week has felt very looong. Busy weekend ahead here too - birthday parties tomorrow, church and Scouts on Sunday, plus we need to get our tree and figure out when to get to the grocery store.

Scorbett that's so exciting!! Only 8 pounds away!! You must be so excited, because I certainly am for you!! 1-2 hours each day of working out, that's a lot of work to maintain. I hope your goal (or 160 if you chose that) will be more reasonable for you to maintain! It sounds like you're crazy busy as it is already without that addition! When do you sleep?!

Have a great Friday everyone!!

LOL I do actually sleep (I have hypothyroidism so if I don't my body MAKES ME!) but I pretty much don't stop moving from the time I get up until the time I go to sleep. I keep a tight calendar, and I plan ahead as much as possible when it comes to food/meals. If I didn't I'd definitely be stuck making bad choices more often than not! I'll be the first one to wave the meal pre-planning flag Getting back on IP was a huge help in getting back into that habit!

Happy Friday Everyone!!

I'm trying to get back to checking in here everyday. The past 3 weeks I have been traveling a lot and have gone off plan. I went back to my clinic today to really try to buckle back down and finish this out right. I've maintained my weight at 140.6 at today's WI (my scale was up a little last week and I'm glad that's gone). I've been back OP for this week and will continue to do so til I reach my goal of 130-135 (still not sure about that number).

I miss everyone and really gained a lot of support here and through the dieting phases and I am getting back into the right mentality of sticking with it 100% OP. I just feel like I got 'comfortable' where I was and became lax, still not happy where I am and want to reach my goal on the program. Should be interesting to see how much my losses slow up going through to the finish.

I hope everyone is doing well :hugs:

You know I was wondering the same thing .... I had some baked wing dings last week and logged them but I was thinking they probably were not allowed because they have skin but my coach didnt say anything against them. I figured I just wouldn't buy them anymore and stick to chicken breast and chicken thighs which I find very easily skinless and boneless.

Technically no. And from a purely practical standpoint I wouldn't recommend them on phase 1. For one, you'd be hard pressed to find skinless chicken wings, and the skin is definitely not IP Phase 1 approved. For another, it's a Herculean task to actually figure out how much meat you would be eating off the bones.

Hi everyone,

Hope all is well. I have been MIA for a few days. I was supposed to have my first weigh in on Monday morning (and was very excited about it!), but I woke up in the middle of the night on Sunday with a horrible stomach flu and was ill the last few days. As much as I wanted to weigh myself after being sick, I think it is best to wait until I start eating on a regular schedule and wait to weigh in to get a true reading. I had broth only the last few days and starting eating IP-type food mid-day yesterday and I am back on schedule today. So I think I will wait until Monday – which would have been my 2nd weigh in – to get a true reading. Does that sound like a good idea?

Thanks!

Happy Friday everyone! Scorbett, I can't wait to be where you are! Right now I'm fighting to get past 193. I feel like I'm stuck here!

I have a veggie question. How does everyone count spinach? It's on my sheet twice--once in the unlimited and once in the selective veggies. I want to lean towards making it selective because I can blend it in my shake and get it in that way, but I won't if that's not right. It's the most recent sheet posted (I'm doing alternatives and thus have no coach to ask).

Okay there's 2 veggie questions--can I use romaine lettuce as a selected veggie if I just can't stuff more vegetables in to me? I love having a salad every day but I fill up quickly.

Thanks!
