Dre2.0Hello everyone!

I just started IP today and am 100% OP but my stomach is really upset. Do any of you have any suggestions?

You posted pretty late last night and didn't get a response. Depending on when your stomach upset came, it could be coincidence, the vitamin supplements or something in a packet if it is not something you usually eat. Some people are sensitive to soy or sucralose. Maybe tell us what you ate and when it occurred or see if it happens again today. It will take you a few days to adjust to the drop in calories too.

In addition, if you aren't used to eating breakfast that could cause it as well.

On my home scale (adjusting for the difference between my scale and my coach's) I hit my mini goal of 50 pounds lost. It isn't official until my Monday weigh in and anything can happen between now and then but woohoo! I was doing the SV dance today. LMAO

Yeah Nat ~ un official celebration of course LOL...

Nausea~ try eating your protein before your supplements... Also I find if I take my morning pills with my RTD Vanilla instead of water, much better on my tummy...for some reason water in the AM makes me feel sick. So I start my water intake after my RTD and coffee....

Off to an appointment this morning and then farmers market this afternoon..only a few more Friday's till they close up for the winter Boo Hoo...

Looks like I am working tomorrow now all day and DH just mentioned a date night at one of the casino's that are near us! Yeah So looks like Sunday will be the Great Closet Clean out...LOL...Sad to see some of my stuff go away, but thrilled that I can't wear them any longer..these days of pants falling off have got to come to an end LOL... Need to pull some of my stacks off clothes out of the closet that have been folded away for years because they didn't fit. Hopefully I will have almost a full new wardrobe for the fall just from the back of my closet... And someone at goodwill will be gaining a new wardrobe too LOL...

Congrats!!! That's amazing!!

We have a really old scale. It only reads in half pound increments. This morning it read 200.0 gahhhh! I would really like to believe that's a 199.8 rounded up lol, buuuut it could also be 200.2 rounded down. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day!

Getting sick I think. Scratchy sore throat :-( not feeling crummy other than that at least.

YAAAY!

WI Today and I am down another 2.6lbs! Welcome to the 80's baby - Aqua Net and jelly shoes! Couldn't take measurements, the kids have apparently hidden my tape measure somewhere I might just wait and take measurements next week, I know I've lost some because my clothes are less snug in many places.

This coming week should be interesting - I added up all of my homework for the week and I've got 118 pgs of textbook reading, 12 related articles, plus homework journal entries and quizzes ahead of me. It's tough because I only have time to do it after the kids go to bed at night, but I'm hoping that the material is interesting enough so that it goes quickly, not getting enough sleep is bound to have a negative effect on my losses...not to mention my overall sanity

Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Woohoo Scorbett, Nat and TXWineo on fab losses!!!!!!!!! Keep it up!

I am so thankful it's Friday! I am not used to my new work schedule paired with my kiddos school schedule, so Fridays (I don't see clients on Fridays) are a HUGE relief!

Here's a question, my GYN doctor's office called me yesterday after routine blood tests and said my bilirubin levels were just slightly elevated (only .5). The nurse didn't seem concerned, but I will get rechecked in 6 weeks. Anyone know if IP can cause such elevated levels?

One thing that really irked me about my clinic was NO monitoring of health during the diet. Part of the reason that was so annoying is because the clinic is ACTUALLY IN my primary care's office (but I think I am switching do to disappointment with this and other things). I find that irresponsible personally and encourage everyone to do their own monitoring should their clinics be as lassez-faire as mine.

Good news, though, is my thyroid panel came back normal!!!!! I did forget to ask the nurse what my TSH level was, but I can do that when I go back in 6 weeks. So happy that the ol' thyroid seems to be working again.

We are having amazing fall weather here, and it feels GREAT!

Day 3 of maintanence for me.....sure happy I practiced flexing my resistence muscle a lot on P1, because I don't have really any urges to just go crazy with my food. Work those resistence muscles.... and they will work for you!!!!!

Blessings!

Woo hoo! Congrats!!

evemomma: My clinic didn't do any monitoring either, but I stopped going there 3 months ago. I got those from my GP. I go back in January and we'll do a full panel and I'll have to remember to get the thyroid checked as well. Congrats on your good news!

I have the day off today as well and look where I am. On these boards. It's just part of my routine now. Check the boards several times a day.

Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday!

evemomma - IP can be a little tough on the kidneys and liver, that could cause a slightly elevated Bili level. It should normalize again now that you're off P1.

First. . . woooohooooo baby! Second. . .I have to laugh at myself. . . it took me a minute to make the connection, and I loved the 80s!

YAY! I am down 2 more lbs!

Yeah. . . my clinic doesn't monitor my health either or take measurements. Just get me in, weigh me, check fat, bmi, water, lean muscle, etc., try to sell me stuff and out I go. I've switched to alternatives of everything and am buying a new scale. . . . gonna do it myself with the help of this wonderful group.

Y'all have a great day!

Oh! One other thing. . . . where can I find a copy of the daily journal pages? I know I've seen a post about it, but have been unable to locate it. Thanks!

Evemomma- that's great about your thyroid!!

Scorbett, pebbles, and jmwkst- congrats on the losses!! :-)

I'm having a friend over for lunch... Making ideal protein friendly Carne bistec (will leave out the cooked onions- but curious how bad it is to have a few pieces?) she asked if I wanted her to bring wine. Lord knows I love some 11am wine drinking when the kiddo is at school, but I told her I couldn't :-( I think I actually heard my heart break a little. But it should be fun! I'll make her some rice, and some roasted broccoli for us both.

I also have another social obligation this evening- I play monthly pokeno, it's like bingo. You bring cash and a gift, and you can win gifts and or money. But there's usually lots of drinking, and lots of food. So I'm bringing the veggie tray. May be a kind of challenging day, but at least one of my best winefriends (yep, that's a word) is pregnant and has to be miserable watching people drink with me lol.

Good Morning everyone while I started two days ago and today is my 3rd day. I was in bed by 730 last night to prevent myself from eating. I was so scared to face the scale today but I did it. My number is 226, that means I have gained 27 pounds since May and now it is time to take it off.
I started getting back on my gym schedule last night and it was nice to feel so at home and welcomed at class.
I had signed up for 2- 10k's along long time ago and had comlete one in June and the next one is this Saturday. I was just going to pick up my shirt and not do the race but a friend of mine called and reminded me that I can do this and I will. So heres to seeing a great number next Tuesday, I decided to go onto the website dietbetter.com and I registered for a bet to help me loose this weight and stay on track.
Heres wishing everyone a 100% weekend OP and lets see what happens day to day.
I can't say thanks enough for this community of friends.
