Hi!

So with Memorial Day fast approaching, I'm sure I'm not the only one going to a BBQ here. Problem is, I'm going straight from work, so I'm not able to plan and maybe bring some snacks / foods of my own. I just have to hope they have plenty of meat there. I'm thinking maybe at the very least I could stop at the store and grab a sweet potato for my fiance's uncle to grill so I can have it with my burger patty...plus I'm sure there will be salad there, etc.

I've been struggling with letting go of phase 1, maybe this is a good time to do just that...

It is only one day, try to keep that thought in perspective. You may be pleasantly surprised and find grilled chicken. If you have time to stop at a store, why not see if they have veggie kabobs pre made. My local grocery store sells them in the produce section and at the butcher counter. Or bring whole wheat buns. Just watch the beverage, chip choices etc. When faced with a food challenge, ie wedding, BBQ etc, I try to make the best food choices from the selections. Sometimes it works and other times not so much. Don't put too much pressure on yourself we've all been there on more than one occasion.
