I started getting a scratchy throat yesterday afternoon, and it's still there. My nose is starting to get a little stuffy, too. I'm hoping this is just allergies, because with my hectic schedule (2 jobs, school, bowling league) I don't have time to get sick. Would it hurt my weigh in if I have a couple of cough drops?

Just remember that sugar free cough drops have sucralose (Splenda) and that can add up fast. It won't push you out of ketosis - but too much sucralose can eg get weight loss. Hot herbal decaf tea (I drink tons when I'm sick) and, as Lisa said, chicken soup. Hope you feel better. Also, keep in mind if you really are fighting something off, that your losses might be down (or a slight gain) as your body "diverts resources" to fight the cold.

My coach said hot tea and diabetic cough drops. However he allows me to have splenda. He recommends Mio in water and I can have splenda in tea, he only says no aspartame which is fine cause that stuff is nasty.
Yeah, I was at the supermarket yesterday, and was checking out the sugar free cough drops. Most of the ones I found, like Halls, have aspartame in them, so you really need to be careful of that. I ended up only getting the regular ones, but only will allow myself 2 a day, and I space it out. The raspberry jello helps my yucky throat; I had that the other day when I was at work instead of a bar.

Walgreen's has some of their own brand with sucralose...which is (marginally) better...Hope you feel better soon.
Kroger is a bunch of stores, Fred Meyer, QFC, etc., etc. Don't know if they are everywhere but might be worth a look if you can't find what you need at Walgreens.
Found sugar free cough drops that don't have aspartame in them at CVS! That made me happy yesterday. However, seems like my sore, scratchy throat has subsided... but my nose is now a leaky faucet. Blah. Went home early from work yesterday because I felt VERY dizzy. So completely drained physically... Came back to work today because I can't afford to lose anymore time. I leave at 4:30 (ET) and then have a 7:00 class. Ugh.
