Default Hooray for Wonderland!

So when I went to WI yesterday, I was planning on hitting the 201-202 mark, but I hit 199! It was so thrilling!!! Coach D. & I did a happy dance

I was already so proud of myself for staying OP and not even having the slightest Valentine's Day temptation (I am still amazed!), but to hit WONDERLAND this week (I've been waiting to say that!) was awesome!

Have an awesome weekend!

I had WI #1 today and I lost 6.8 pounds. So happy with this! I will admit there were a few rough days. Hopefully those will become fewer and farther between. Today I say let the journey begin.

Congrats to both of you. Isn't IP amazing? And all we have to do is let go and do it!

Awesome, awesome, awesome!!

Today is my mother-in-law's 83 birthday. She wants us over for dinner, and to play cards. This is the woman that does not have anything of color in her meals, but it is her birthday, so I will eat what I can, and have a salad before I go to get veggies in. I am too close to goal to sabotage.

In the last 6 weeks I have not dropped a lot of weight, but I must be looking different. I got several NSVs yesterday. Our singing group piled into a little VW and I was in the back seat with two other ladies. They made me sit in the middle because I was the skinny one! We were talking about getting stuck in the snow, and I told the story of my car getting stuck earlier this week and my son and I having to rock it out of the ice patch it was in. One of the men shook his head and said how can a little thing like you push a car out(come on, its a little Civic.)

I am the producer of a local theater's next show and have been trying to get tech people. I went and visited my daughter's best friend who is a good sound guy. He said he did not recognize me at first and he was over a lot when she was home from break.

NSV's help when the scale movement is slower(and needs to be slower, the body HAS to catch up at this point)

Well....fell off the IP wagon last night and feel like I need to go to confession....and I'm not even catholic. Just finished my 3rd week and had been doing well and then we had plans for valentines day and I ended up not only not eating all my veggies but I had desert.

But today is a new day.....and the best part I guess is that eating off plan made me SICK so hopefully I'll remember that next time. I know it's all about moving on and getting back on plan but I can't help but feel horrible about it. How dumb!!!

I've found the best way to stick to plan is to pre-plan.
Especially for "big" days. Leave nothing to chance.
Know what the meals will be and how you will handle possibly wanting a "treat". There are recipes for IP muffins, "cupcakes", and cookies made from IP packets.
My days are planned the night before. I know what is for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack. Since I plan ahead, I don't get caught without enough veggies or lettuce. And when I plan OP treats, it takes away the thoughts of cheating.

Just some thoughts to help you (and others) stay OP.
It can certainly be done but it is all in the mental attitude.

Welcome to Onderland bluegingham! Isn't it exciting to see that 1? congrats!

Yeah for making it through the first week newbierm and for the loss! It really does get easier as you go along, the first few days are the roughest.

Love those NSVs drd! Wow, you've done so great- congrats!

Mandy - drink lots of extra water today and get right back to it. Sorry you got sick but you're right - remembering that feeling will help you resist the next time. The more you work your "resistance muscle" the stronger it gets!

Mandy - don't beat yourself up. I think this is part of the journey, learning what triggered us to go off track and more importantly how to get back on track and try to do it different for next time. I have gone off track during IP but it has been way less frequent as I learn more about why I self sabotage and how to stop being self destructive. You can do it!

Drd- that was a lovely compliment you received.

Have a great weekend everyone. My DH and I are going for dinner and a movie tonight, last night my kids had friends for their first sleep over which was lots of fun.

You're absolutely right on the planning Lisa - I do mine a week in advance and then adjust daily if needed because sometimes things happen. Mental attitude is a huge part of the battle - I still have to ask myself regularly "do I need to eat or do I just want to eat?" I may have to ask myself that question for the rest of my life but at least now I know enough to even question myself! (If that made any sense.)

Lisa, I woke up thinking about you this morning. I wanted to say how much I appreciate your commitment to this forum especially when you have been in a prolonged stall since the fall. You have continued to be positive about the program, hold us accountable, provide information - sometimes the same info more than once and celebrate our victories. You have done a great job with your loses and have managed to maintain while you figure out your next steps which is amazing.

Just wanted to say thanks
Jen

You make perfect sense.
And I'll fathom a gurneys that mental attitude is MOST of the battle. Everything falls into place when we have our heads on right. When there is an internal battle, somehow the negative wins.

And, yes, we' ll have to ask ourselves that question for the rest of out lives to maintain. The battle doesn't end when the weight is off.

Congrats on the loss! It will get easier. What I love about IP is the rules are quite simple and you really don't have to think to much... meat, vegis, oils, and three packs of food... keep up the good work!

Now those are great NSV's! I've had a couple of people say they had to look at me for a sec or hear my voice to realize who it was! Feels good and great to have those moments when you have slowed down waiting for those last few pounds!

Good learning experience. Those special days just aren't worth the cheats and the inevitable stall on the scale!

Thank you guys for not just saying "it will be okay" and giving me suggestions for getting back on track. My entire life I've had someone just telling me that I am great how I am even at my heaviest (which was 293 lbs) and that was NOT great and I know was not healthy!!! My family is all overweight and fighting health concerns because of that.

I will get back on track and I will overcome this. Thank you all for your support!!!

Default Go Veggie Cheese?

For valentines day my DH gave me go veggie cheddar cheese (that was pretty sweet). Can we use this? If so, how would we count it? Thank you in advance! I'm afraid to use it in fear of throwing things off!
