Default Diets Schmiets

Diets do not work long term. There was a program on BBC a few months ago called 'The Men Who Made Us Thin', and anybody who didn't watch it, should!!

It is a real eye opener into the world of fitness, gyms, weight watchers, slimming world, diets, fads and all things 'low fat'.

The inevitable conclusion was that, it is all a massive money making scheme and no diet actually works long term, and nor are they actually designed to work!! They are all designed to get your money.

Do not diet, change the way you eat and think.

If you are dieting, then well done for having the willpower to stick to it, but once you hit your goal remember to then change the way you eat and think as who can go without carbs, or sugar, or fat forever?? It is not healthy.

A healthy diet is balanced and that is the key. It is only in the last year I have discovered this. Eat what you want in moderation and become more active.

But at the same time, do not think that because you are overweight you are unfit or unhealthy because honestly, that is rubbish!! BMI is rubbish!! I am technically morbidly obese, yet my clothes size and fitness hasn't changed in years, even though I have gained over 3 stone!! I can still outdo all of my slim friends at fitness classes and I eat more healthy too.

I will stop ranting now, I am not out to upset, but I do very much want peoples input!!
