I just returned from a family vacation to Disney World and the trip was one big long NSV. I was able to keep up with my children and grandchildren. I carried my youngest grandchild when needed. I could stand in line without my feet killing me. I walked miles a day. My knees did not kill me but I did have cortisone injections to help them. Fitting in rides......... no problem. When I saw that many of the slow moving rides did not even stop for you to get on, I was apprehensive but managed it fine.
Actually, I held up better than my husband did. He had to return to our room to rest while I continued on with the children. That is a real role reversal for us and he has decided to exercise more.
When I looked at the pictures that were taken, one thing really struck me. I look normal. No one there would have pointed at me because of my size.
My life is richer because of my weight loss and improved physical fitness. I was morbidly obese for 30+ years and I missed out on much because of that.
No more! There is no food worth losing this ability. Being morbidly obese was a disability for me. When I am tempted to go back to my old eating habits. I want to read this post and remember the difference.
