Default Alternative crispy cereal product?

I like IP crispy cereal packets for making pancakes with egg whites. Does anyone know of a comparable substitute . (Less $). Thank you!

Unfortunately I've never been able to find one. Try checking back on www.NashuaNutrition.com to see if they have one or maybe contacting them to find out if they can get one.

thank you for replying, Amberjules! I've ordered Carmel nut bars from Nashua Nutrition and they are exactly the same as IP! I will check their cereal offerings again. I'm restarting IP so I'm rusty on where to get products...have to relearn all over again!!

Are you looking for a replacement for cereal or pancakes?

Look for Maple Frove Sugar Free pancake mix (in most grocery stores). It's a little shy on protein so I often Ann a little egg white or vanilla protein powder. Just use the 1/4 cup and mix with water (do not add the other things in their directions). Works perfect!!

I use ProtiDiet Honey Soy Cereal (from Nashua) for my cereal w/a splash of vanilla powder and water to make "milk."

Do you have the statistics to use to compare alternative products to make sure they are IP compatible??

I'm using alternative products and would LOVE to find an alternative for the crispy cereal. If you find something, please post your results. Sometimes I use the pancake mix with recipes that call for the cereal packet. I do the same with recipes that use the potato packet. There is a thread where a person did make their own potato packet, but I haven't gotten around to trying it. Good luck!

I'Ve used the crispy cereal packet to make pancakes!
Mix 2 egg whites with a crushed packet (use a rolling pin directly over unopened packet to grind mixture into a fine dust) , maybe a little water, 1/8 tsp of almond or vanilla extract, cinnamon
Mix together and drop spoonfuls into a hot frypan coated with Pam. Yummy

So, I am looking to make pancakes with the product! I will check out your suggestions. Thank you!

Check out ProtiDiet products (Nashua Nutrition sells it as well as diet direct). I love their natural and blueberry pancakes (i add two egg whites, cinnamon and vanilla extract). Not to mention they're unrestricted! ProtiDiet also makes an unrestricted oatmeal (in three flavors too!) that i use to make zucchini muffins. I typically order from DietDirect because they have a lower free shipping minimum as well as a frequent buyers incentive but also order a select few things from Nashua (pasta usually). Good luck!

I love these as well and don't add anything to them except a little vanilla! It's my weekend treat! I usually order from Nashua and order in bulk to get free shipping and usually there is a coupon online somewhere for 5-10% off when I have looked!

I was using them with just vanilla extract added, but i found the cinnamon gave it a little kick and the egg whites kept me fuller until lunch (i'm always starving mid-morning). I usually treat myself to the ProtiDiet pancakes when i go into work late during the week. I love these little treats we find and love!

I sometimes use plain tvp granules as a breakfast cereal (sort of like grapenuts).

80 calories (1/4 cup dry)
12g protein
7g carb
4g fiber
0g fat

Even with a 1/2 cup of almond milk, I think it still fits within Ideal Protein guidelines. I add a bit of Spenda and cinnamon.

New to IP and I was so surprised that a cereal made by adding water could be so tasty! Really helps satisfy my sweet tooth, yet still unrestricted. I actually find it easy to just shake it in my shaker and drink it straight from there!

The nutrition fits IP guidelines except a little low on protein (should be minimum 15 g). I would add some vanilla protein powder (just a bit) and water to make "milk". While some do use Almond Milk, it is not IP Phase 1 acceptable (to clarify for new IPers).
