How often do YOU weigh?
So I was curious what the consensus was around here as far as frequency of weighing in.
I had originally been on a weekly weigh in schedule...however, after having 1 week of no weight loss...I have decided to do daily or every other day weigh in's to make sure that my diet and exercise is in check. I don't know if this is obsessive...but my rationale is that if I'm noticing no weight loss (even a "smudge" on the scale) then I know that I need to bump up my exercise and watch my carbs.
What do you all think?

I get too depressed and discouraged if I weigh myself everyday.. Because you'll see the 1-3 lb gain from food or salt or things.. So I am more successful and stay motivated if I weigh every week or even less often.

I weigh first thing every morning.
And then I write it down.

Ditto
And then I chart and graph it, because I'm obsessive that way.

I was weighing daily when I started Medifast, but only recording once a week. I've been fighting the same 6 pounds for a year now, so I went to weekly a few months back. The stall is making me crazy, so now that the biggest loser challenge is over, I'm putting the scale away til September 1st, and then weighing once a month for awhile.
I think you need to do what works for you, and change when necessary.

I weigh every morning. I also log all my food and keep an eye on things like salt so I know to expect a gain if I have had certain amounts, this makes gains less scary. since I am just starting, if I weighed weekly I think it would be worrying as I may decide to eat off plan meals with the excuse of it being '4 days til I have to weigh' etc.

Daily. I'm ok seeing the small ups and downs, as long as the overall trend remains a downward trend. I think it helps me look objectively at my diet/exercise. Too much of one, not enough of the other? Etc...Any way, daily works best for me.

I weigh everyday but I'm just looking for the trend because my weight fluctuates like crazy, even by the hour sometimes.

I weigh depending on my mood. If I know I'm having a hard time sticking to my meal plan and would fall apart if I didn't see a HUGE loss, then I'll have my husband hide the scale.
Lately though I've mentally been doing better and weigh usually every friday and saturday, but sometimes even every day if I'm curious and my mind's in a good place (I think it really helps now that I can SEE/FEEL the results and don't have to rely on the number to give me confirmation anymore)

Daily this time around is keeping me sane, actually when I go to bed and wake up, someone said it helps them know what to expect in the morning.. it helps me too.

Daily, in the morning after disposing of used food and liquid. I enter the results in an Excel spreadsheet.
