Default Weight Gain

This morning I wanted to see if I had lost weight prior to weigh in tomorrow morning and it shows a gain of 1.8 ibs... I was shocked because I follow the plan accordingly with no cheat.. I am finishing my week 4 on the plan and so far achieved a 17 Ibs loss but I am baffled as to why the weight gain... I had an hysterectomy 2 years ago so I cannot blame it on TOM... I drink about 72 to 88 oz of water a day and only eat what is on the list..
Any of your input would be appreciated !! Many Thanks

I'm still new, but if you read through posts, it seems that weigh ins get a little squirrely around weeks 4-6. Must be our bodies adjusting. You are doing great! Stick to the plan...it works.

I hope your coach told you it is common to have a smaller loss or even a slight gain in weeks 3, 4, or 5 as the body makes some adjustments.

Sometimes I'm amazed what happens overnight, too.
I've learned I'm best off NOT sneaking peeks at the scale, unless I'm prepared to just neutrally track normal fluctuations.

I agree with SusieV. My losses slowed considerably in weeks 5 &6 for me the big C started then. I now drink the smooth move tea once or twice a week and that helps.

You have had a tremendous loss in 4 weeks so your body has to slow down a bit to readjust to all that has gone on. You will not continue to lose at that rate you will have slower and faster weeks.

I was really discouraged by my week 3 loss (only .5 lb), but then it picked right back up again. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll have a much better weigh in next time!

I've noticed that for this last week (week 4, too) my losses aren't as high as the previous weeks, which we all know can be discouraging. But, from what I've read here from other people's experience, a gain here or there happens!
I bet next week will be even better than you expected! :-)

Also ask your coach to measure you (if they don't do it each time - mine is only every other). Some weeks, little loss or even small gains are also accompanied by lost inches. Your body may have been focusing on the inches and not the pounds!

Today went to weigh in (yikes) and... I only gained .5 ibs but lost 4 inches... YAY..
Plus my coach told me that it could have been my supposed TOM, plus I am taking antibiotics because of a root canal last Thursday and also a little bit of water retention .. and my body adjusting !!
Again thank you everyone for your wonderful and supporting posts... I am so glad I found you !

One for every 5 ib loss

Next week will probably be a great number scale number that will make you forget this week ever happened. Meanwhile enjoy that 4 inch loss!!

Frenchie the other thing to consider ..even if you dont technically have the bits to get a TOM..your body still has hormones, esp the ones stored in our fat....so as you lose weight, our hormones can be all over the place.

Grats on the inches lost you will start rocking the scale again.

Hang in there. Up pounds occur for a variety of reasons..but if you are on the plan you will start losing again. You have done very well and have a great loss.

This is just what I needed to read today! I am starting week 5 and things are getting wonky lol. At the beginning of the week I was 133.8. Now I am mysteriously 135.8 two days in a row and I was picture perfect IP the whole time. I am having the big C and have tried all my usuals to no avail. I am literally uncomfortable. I am actually drinking coffee which I gave up to try to help the process. Gonna get the smooth move tea today and stick with it. I go for surgery next week and have no idea what that will do to my body. I know I won't want to eat at all for a few days. Ugh. Great to hear that I am not doing anything " wrong" if I experience a gain in week 4-5-6. I am 15 lbs away from goal and am definitely not giving up now! I've grown accustomed to my little eating routine lol. Thanks for the encouragement ( which I kind of latched on to here on others' posts!)
