Good Morning! I'm checking in from work related training week. I got smart this time and got there early so I could get a seat away from the food table they always seem to have at these training sessions. I packed my veggies and a salad which was very handy, since there wasn't anything I could eat that they brought in (besides coffee and water). My hotel this time has a very small fridge, so I'll be making an extra trip to the grocery store to restock before the week is thru. There is a microwave too, so I make my oatmeal for breakfast here. Dinner the last couple nights has been a natural roasted chicken that I cleaned and boned the first night and have just stored in the fridge. Tonight we're going out for Cuban food (not sure I've ever been to a Cuban restaurant before). They have broiled fish, grilled steak and chicken options. I will have the rice, bean, and plantains held. Maybe I can get a house salad in place of those. I'll ask.
Hi Ladies, well I'm finally back and on track. I'm hoping to get inspiration to keep going. I had lost 16, and gained 4 but think I've finally moved past it to start again. Getting started is always the hardest part, wish me luck, no wish me some willpower
I was down another 1.6 today! 1.2 away from being out of the 200's! and i started my TOM today! Down a total of 17.8 in 23 days! I'm so incredibly pumped and motivated! IP ROCKS!
Reading Halfagain's post confirms it for me. I'm looking ahead to a conference in July and a little fridge in the hotel room is a must. I'm going to call the hotel asap to make sure I can get one. I'll eat limp warm salad if I have to, but I can guarantee that I won't like it!

Bricon, I just started back on IP yesterday after gaining back 9 or 10 of what I'd lost. I'm down 2.7 pounds from yesterday already! Clearly my body missed IP haha!
Good morning everyone! Hope you are well. Day #27 and I have WI#4 this evening. I had hoped to get a morning appointment this week but with my work schedule, it just wasn't happening. Alas. I am going to eat light and see what the scales say this evening. Here's hoping for some movement despite the fact that I have been battling the Big C.
Welcome to those who are new. Welcome back to those returning. And to everyone celebrating losses - congrats!
I know about the importance of drinking water and that 64 ounces is the minimum. At the beginning, I was drinking 80 to 100 ounces a day but recently upped that significantly. I probably drink 120 to 160 now. Is it my imagination (or pure coincidence) or are the pounds falling off faster with the increase in water? I'm sloshing to and from the bathroom every hour but its totally worth it if its making the pounds drop a little quicker. It's only been 4 days but I'm suddenly losing 1/2 pound a day according to the home scale.
I got through day one without a problem Went to dollar store and bought a bunch of small bead bracelets. I put 10 on my right wrist in the morning and as I drink my water I move one to my left wrist. Works for me.
I just received my new order from Nashua Nutrition...feeling a bit like a kid. I'm excited to try the new stuff! I got a sample of the Strawberry yogurt last time, so I ordered that and the peach as well. It tastes just like a parfait with a little bit of the proti-diet cereal crushed on top! Yum. Happy OP day to everyone!!
I am new to this site and IP. Today is my first weigh inn. I am just wondering if there is any advice you guys can offer on how to be successful at IP, what y'alls experiences have been like and any other info you might think is helpful. Thanks.
i'm halfway through my first week- start off each day saying i'm going to be 100% on program- but i'm not- an extra slice of turkey, or a 1/2 oz of cheese. But i'm so much closer to being on program than when i ate non stop EVERYTHING!
i also bought a fitbit and have a goal of walking 10,000 steps 5 days a week. i'm hoping to also go to the gym 3X a week for some light weight bearing exercises.
i want to change how i take care of myself and to really control what i can- the only thing in my life that i really can control: what i eat and what i do to keep healthy. my new mantra

You can do it!! Learning to find ways to make your self successful is key! Fitbits are great!! I have a Fitbit Flex ordered...they're extra motivation/accountability.
