Oh snap! I'd really like to read a good book this month (though if it is a good book I will finish it in a week!) Kind of in the mood for something motivational though.
In the past I have read:
Born to Run
The Long Run
Know Regrets
Maiden Voyage
Stuff that really inspires me. If anyone has anything to recommend I'd be grateful. Either way I will find some time to research on amazon today and find something good, and then I will actually post what I will be ready! Haha, which is the whole point of this thread I know
Okay, I've done some research and decided on three books I'm going to read this month:
1. Nice Girls Finish Fat: Put Yourself First and Change Your Eating Forever
2. A Life Without Limits: A World Champion's Journey
3. Finding Ultra: Rejecting Middle Age, Becoming One of the World's Fittest Men, and Discovering Myself
I have a system: I read one on my kindle and one paper book (because I have so many to go through) at the same time. I'm almost done "The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove" By Christopher Moore and "Tracey & Hepburn" By Garson Kanin.
I have a copy of "joining the thin club" That I've been holding off on reading because I'm so far from goal, but I may start it this month to keep my head in the game.
I am going to start reading the "Guardians of Childhood" series. It's the one the "Rise of the Guardians" movie (My favorite movie) is based off of (But I don't think it's much like the movie)... IT'S BETTER. The first two books are childrens picture books xD but the last 3 are novels. I was given them all as gifts for my birthday back at the end of November (My bday is the 28th). Yet I haven't started reading them xD Well now I am!

No it just came out and it's called "Pas: chroniques et récits d'un coureur" by Yves Boisvert (he's a journalist at La Presse). It's really good and made me want to keep on running
I started Kite Runner while on vacation but have been too busy to pick it back up. I think this weekend will call for some "me" time on the deck with my book!

Nos4a2 by Joe Hill is what I'm reading now. http://www.amazon.ca/Nos4a2-Lp-Novel.../dp/0062222996 I've read his other two novels and his collection of short stories, but haven't read his graphic novels (not my style of reading). It took me from January to the end of April to finish the novel I was reading but it wasn't my usual choice.
Just finished The Story of Edward Sawtelle which was our Book Club selection. One of the most different novels I have ever read. I'm still not sure if I liked it although I couldn't wait to finish it.
