So it seems like a lot of people love greek yogurt and eat it regularly. It's low in calories and high in protein. There was a sale on it 2 weeks ago, so I picked some up. Trouble is, it turns out I'm not a fan, and it's still in my fridge. I much prefer regular low fat yogurt.
My question for you: What "healthy" or "popular" food are you not a fan of?
I'm not a fan of low fat or fat free dairy. I used to eat fat free all the time till last year started Atkins and switch to full fat. I just can't go back to LF or FF, it taste really bad to me now. I bought a FF Greek yogurt thinking I could save 40 calories and I just couldn't finish it, it was very artificial and just plain gross. Still in my fridge and thinking giving it to my brother lol.
^ UGH ALL OF THIS - especially 0% Greek yogurt, I think fat free Greek yogurt is why so many people dislike Greek yogurt. Icelandic yogurt, same thing.
Cereal, oatmeal, crackers, whole grain whatever - out of my radar.
Reduced fat and fat free dressings. Gross! I am a big Ranch person, and light and fat free Ranch is the grossest thing. Diet pop is another; there are a couple that are ok, but some are just not great. The sweetners in diet pop just almost have a sickly sweet taste. Though I haven't been drinking pop, and before the diet it was only Ginger Ale, and just one can a day. Skim milk is another - you might as well drink water lol
brussel sprouts, kale, carrots. and i've recently lost my taste for diet soda-i've been drinking it since i was like 7, and i just recently started tasting more chemicals and less soda when i drink it! i still do, but my two-a-day habit has become more like 2-a-week.
not a big fan of tomatoes
they make the sandwich soggy and I hate soggy bread !!
so whenever I order a sandwich at the deli.. I go 'no tomatoes please'
You should see the looks I get !!!
Low fat dairy. I don't do dairy well, or carbs well, so upping the milk sugars and lowering the fat has NO benefit (and the taste is sub par, too!).
I'm not a fan of hummus, with rare exception. I have had one recipe of it that I liked and the rest gag me. Which is funny, because straight chickpeas (roasted or otherwise) are delicious. Huh.
BEETS! I tried to like them, but they still taste like sweet dirt.
I was right there with you until you said "cous cous." Might as well be Quinoa.

Ok, in the past I'd agree with you and Stephanie on this one. I have never liked it. But recently I tasted a different kind of cottage cheese that I actually really liked. It was Friendship brand WHIPPED cottage cheese. There were no curds. It had the texture ... and kinda similar taste... to ricotta cheese!
The difference is that if you compare the fat and calories of the two for 1/2 cup, the low fat whipped cottage cheese has 90 cal and 1g fat, whereas the ricotta has 140 calories and 9g fat.

Several people have expressed a dislike for Greek yogurt. I am curious how you have tried it. I love Greek yogurt, but I only use it as I would sour cream. I buy the Fage' 0% and, to me, it tastes very close to regular sour cream.
There is probably a lot of things I could list that I don't like. I remember seeing a thread a while back on the topic of "Foods that most people like, but I do not." That was an interesting read. For me, one of those things is tomatoes. I think its the texture more than anything else.
