Default Exercise while traveling...

I'm hoping others here might have suggestions of ways to stay in shape and stay on an exercise routine while dealing with a very grueling travel schedule.

Through a combination of work, family obligations, and grad school admitted student visits (hooray!) I will be traveling fully half the month of March. Some of these times I will be staying in hotels, but for the most part I'll be crashing on friends' floors and trapped in meetings. How do you stick to your routines in unfamiliar cities?

First, check to see if the hotel has a gym. If it doesn't, do you have to stay there?

Second, Google map every hotel and home you will be staying in (get the addresses from each of your friends). Under the "Search Nearby" link, search under "fitness", "Gym", "YMCA", "Community Center". Check their hours.

Third, do you currently have a gym membership? If so, check if your gym is a member of IHRSA. If so, you are able to use gyms from other locales at no charge or reduced rates.

Fourth, embrace running on sidewalks and doing pushups, situps and curls beside your bed.
