I;m sick and tired of being in the 200s. No Bueno
I currently weigh 220 and I swear I'm just getting fatter.
I've tried doing the whole losing weight thing but no success.
I'm just hoping I get some weight loss buddies here to keep me motivated because honestly me doing this alone my motivation lasts about a week.

Ok writers block lol,

Hey Dani!

Welcome and good luck. 220 was the highest I ever got, at least the highest I ever weighed myself at!! It seems like our other numbers are pretty similar, 170 is my goal weight as well.

Hopefully you find the motivation you need here, I know I have.

Welcome to the board. Congrats on your decision to get healthy. I would personally suggest looking into a lifestyle change vs. calling it a diet. Making small changes long term will help you succeed.

Hi Dani, welcome..
Those things helped me a lot in the beginning, you may wanna try them:

1-Try MyfitnessPal if you haven't yet.
It's always better to keep a food journal..

2-If you like social media, create an instagram account and follow people who are on the same boat as you..
Many people in instagram posts their meals, exercises, progress, motivational quotes and photos..etc

3-Don't do big changes all at once..This is the reason why we always fail..
start small, baby steps..
my baby steps were like this:
First, No skipping breakfast..
Second, I quit drinking soda..
Third, less chocolates, candies, ice cream..
Fourth, since I used to be addicted to fast food, I couldn't cut it completely, so I started eating it twice or three times a week only..
then I tried eating just a burger without the fries..
or eat one slice of pizza instead of two..

4-If you haven't exercised before, start with brisk walking..
add running with time..
I highly recommend the 5K program and there's an iphone app for that (Get Running)..

5-It is ok to fail, or do mistakes..
It's not the end of the world if you slip..
Remember that you are trying to change your lifestyle and not dieting..

I hope this helps and I'm here for your if you need any support..

LETS BE FREINDS! im 261lbs.. i have lost 5lbs ina week! im so happy u have decided to make the life choice and better yourself!!

first u need to get ur mind set for this crazy yet wonderful journey u are about to go on!... once ur mind is on it and IN IT TO WIN IT... everything else will come come into place!

do some research and find a plan for your self.. a daily plan. which includes the new eating habit.. (which will be HE L L for the first couple days and it gets better by the 3rd day! ) and some kind of exercise! no1 is saying go to the gym.. but a nice walk a day would do wonders!

dont starve ur self!!!!!! its one of the biggest mistakes you can make and only make u feel worst! just eat smaller portions... and dont eat too late at night!

continue to read threads and post and join in on them! they are awesome and the people here are great! they will always make u feel better when u are down and out and want this as bad as you do!

YOU CAN DO IT! dont give up! ur mind will be ur greatest enemy but once u defeat ur mind... ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
